I have so much love and respect for all EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONERS & CHILDMINDERS out there. If you are one, then I want to say THANK YOU 🙏🏼
💖Thank you for your endless love and attention that goes into looking after the children of parents who have to go to work (this will be me again soon!) for some as young as just a few months old.
For your continued care; encouraging the babies to babble, giggle and clap.
Providing comfort, nursing to sleep, feeding healthy nutritious food, toilet training, being compassionate when they are sick, constantly entertaining and making sure they are all safe, maintaining a high standard of hygiene, having fun and learning all at the same time!
💖Thank you for the long hours you work Monday to Friday including through all the school holidays so that parents have as much flexibility as possible. You more often than not work 7:30am in the morning till 6:00pm in the evening often on minimum (or slightly above) minimum wage, though are always incredibly enthusiastic and give 100% at all times. I know that’s exhausting, but you keep going for the love of working with children.
💖Thank you for all the extra hours you then put in when you get home to ensure you are up to date with important safeguarding training, food hygiene, EYFS guidelines (the list is endless) along with planning fun and educational sessions for the children to take part in and engage with throughout the day.
I‘ve worked at an amazing local nursery for over a year now, alongside running Hullabaloo. Being a parent of a child who went to both a wonderful childminder then nursery, so am lucky enough to have experienced both sides.
I’m excited to be working towards being a qualified EYP whilst on maternity leave even though it is back to evenings filled with study 📚🤓🌛(wish me luck!)
If you have any more Thank you’s do comment below to show how much these fabulous people are appreciated! 🏆
