Congratulations Lauren and Brian! These two had a stunning wedding yesterday at the West Baden Resort and Casino. See that circular design underneath the rings? That’s their wedding invitation that Lauren painted herself! She painted it to look like the iconic dome of the West Baden Hotel and I absolutely love it!
Looking back on 2020 I realized just how bad I am at sharing my work. I’ll spam my personal page with photos and stories of my kids, but when it comes to sharing on here I’ve really dropped the ball. Some of that is because I don’t always know what to say because I don’t want to come across as braggy “look at these awesome photos!” or super gushy because I’m not a gushy kind of person. It’s also because I overthink everything and can’t narrow down favorite photos to post. Either I have too many favorites or I’m overly critical of myself and wish I had posed this photo slightly differently or used that other location or some other small detail that probably nobody other than myself really notices or cares about in the same way. So paralysis by analysis really is the reason for lack of posting. It’s my super power.
That doesn’t mean that I don’t love my clients and think they’re all fantastic people that I love working with, because I do! It just means I’m a well-intentioned awkward soul who second guesses herself a lot. So, my apologies for not sharing these sooner. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone that I got to work with last year! Thank you for inviting or re-inviting me to record a part of your lives! You all are the best! For real.
*I know not everyone’s sessions are in this post and I’m not trying to leave anyone out. Some just prefer not to be on social media and that’s totally fine.
The first weekend of truck bed mini sessions was great! A little chilly and windy, but fun nonetheless. While I work through everyone's images, enjoy some previews of my own kiddos testing out the set up and being their adorable goofball selves.

I hate that I have to share this, but it keeps happening and it needs to stop. Please, please do not take pictures on train tracks. I don’t care if they’re inactive or not. It’s illegal and more importantly, incredibly dangerous. No photo is worth your life.

Totally not photography related, but I wanted to share this with you guys. I started using this On My Way app last week and earn money for each mile I drive without picking up my phone. Admit it, we all pick up our phone while we drive even though we know we shouldn’t. Well, maybe an extra incentive will help us retrain ourselves to drive safer.

I got to spend a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning with Aaron and Beth and their hilarious kids recently. We had a great time in downtown Indy being entertained by their children who are so full of personality. You guys are always so much fun to photograph!
Shelby and Sam had a gorgeous wedding at the Barn at Kennedy Farms in Lizton, IN. The day was beautiful (despite some wicked wind) and they had a wonderful group of family and friends to celebrate with them. Congratulations to you both and thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!

Daniel and Ariana made the best of a rainy Sunday afternoon and rocked their engagement photos! We had a fun time downtown and finished off the session with dancing in the rain (sprinkling by that point, but whatever) and Cinnabon, because obviously.
