Who else is ready for Peaches N Cream???

She is one of my earliest blooming dahlias.

She is one of my top loves… and for good reason- she blooms all season long and consistently produces excellent usable blooms on great stems.

In about 95 days I’ll be looking to plant the dahlias. I can’t wait for the season to begin.

This time of the year it’s good to start the planning and doing the behind the scene activities.

🌸Set some funds aside for the occasional splurge…. You know it’s going to happen. It always does— you see the perfect wonderful “###x”… you must have it. I’ve done it a million times and I know you have too!!! It what makes the gardening experience special….Instead of feeling guilty, treat yourself because you “planned” for it. You can do it!!!!
Even after 30 years of gardening I splurge 🌸🌸🌸🌸

Yippppeee!!
In all my years growing dahlias I’ve never had a Cutie Pie sit inside a dahlia.
What a lucky moment.
Mother Nature at its best.

Two absolutely stunning dahlias.
KA Coral Sea from is amazing. I have only had two blooms so far and I can’t wait for more.
Bracken Ruse is an older dahlia variety and does extremely well for me.
KA Coral Sea is larger than Bracken Ruse and a little bit more coral at this point. I can’t wait to see what happens throughout the season.

Oh my…. I’m a complete sucker for stellar style dahlias.
This is Verrone’s DF. This is my first time growing her and I’m in love!! Look at those petals!!! Long, a thin, and come to a point. The petals even curl back to the stem. It’s early in the season so I can wait to see how her color changes.

Everyone has one or maybe even more than one style/shape dahlia that they love. Each of the shapes has their pros and cons.

I would love to know what shape and or size you like and why?

The Flower Shack will be open this weekend for mix bunches of freshly cut flowers.

Our new location is 15 Beechwood Circle in Cromwell CT.

The stars of the field right now are the peonies and ranunculuses. You won’t want to miss them.
