ZERO1

Zero1, a London-born drum and bass DJ, discovered his passion at a ‘98 jungle rave, prompting him to buy turntables. He gained recognition through internet radio and BBC 1Xtra. After moving to Naarm in 2010 he got involved in the drum and bass scene through the warehouse party circuit and later hosted The LoFreq Show on Kiss FM. He has supported numerous artists, and performed at festivals like Esoteric. He is now running events, continuing to push the boundaries with The LoFreq Show.

Latency Err_r emerges to us from the UK, growing up in the Bad Lands of East Anglia in the UK, where his love for all types of extreme music began. Playing bass guitar in punk/hardcore bands and going to illegal raves in the early 2000’s spawned a love of bass music & DnB, always gravitating toward a harder, more industrial & Techy sound. Now blending everything from Jungle/Classic DnB/Tech Step/Neuro/Skullstep & Crossbreed.

Meltdown began his drum and bass journey in 1999, playing local house parties in Christchurch. His passion quickly led him to Melbourne, where he made his mark in the scene with sets at iconic venues like Roxanne’s and Brown Alley, supporting top acts like Black Sun Empire, Prolix, Klute, Nymfo, Lenzman, Blockhe4d, Neonlight, Aeph, DJ Fresh, Trei, Optiv & BTK, London Electricity, Icicle, Ant TC1, Phace, Phesta, Drumsound & Simon Bassline Smith, B Complex, Chris Su, Dom & Roland, Dillinja and Rene Lavice. Since 2010, he’s been the driving force behind The Rewind Show on Kiss FM, earning his reputation as one of Melbourne’s most respected DJs.

Jay B’s DJ Journey started in the early 2000s when he bought some old school belt drive turntables to start mixing his Happy Hardcore & Jungle record collection! Little did he realise at the time that it would soon turn into an addictive hobby and lifestyle. growing up in Brighton, Uk , he spent his weekends going to Drum & Bass events & became obsessed with the Tunes that were playing & would go searching for them in the record stores & couldn’t wait to play them to his mates at parties . Fast forward a few years & he’s adapted to new technology but still has the passion and has built experiences of playing in plenty of bars & Nightclubs , including plenty since moving here to Melbourne. NIIX

Influenced by all styles of UK Bass Music, NIIX is an eclectic record spinner mixing between the realms of 100 - 174BPM.

Hailing originally from the UK but now residing in Naarm, she prides herself on dark, techy blends and genre bending between Techno, Breaks, UKG, 140, Jungle, Footwork & DnB.

She has played at several well known venues such as Brown Alley, Section 8, Max Watts (to name a few) and has supported a number of international producers - Dimension, Grafix, Ivy Lab, Culture Shock, Skeptical, Phibes, Turno, Cesco + Bushbaby. Additionally, she has graced the stages of various festivals including Esoteric; Subterra & Subspace Subterranean (Flavius). She has also represented her sound on Area3000 & DnB represent Radio Stations.

When she’s not DJing you can find her co hosting events and pushing local talent under her event moniker Pulse Audio.

Noise Enthusiast and Lofreq are thrilled to announce “The Clamps” (FR)

The Clamps (real name Julien Carbou) is a French music producer, DJ and label owner living in Toulouse, France. Influenced by bands and artists such as Crosby, Still, Nash and Young, Iron Maiden, Bad Brains, Raised Fist, FKY, Noisia, he is known for his energetic music, as a Drum & bass and Hardcore producer releasing his music on labels like Trendkill Records, Kosenprod, Karnage Records or Heresy. He’s a part of the Drum and Bass duo Burr Oak with Opsen (Nicolas Levy) and he’s one half of IDM project called Third Colony (aswell co-owner of the label Third Colony Music).

His musical production is classified as Neurofunk, influenced by Industrial Music. Having won the Noisia & Black Sun Empire “Hideous” remix competion in 2014, he released several tracks on major Drum & Bass labels as Blackout Music NL, Trendkill Records and Eatbrain , multiple times played on BBC Radio 1, which gave it an international reputation et let him play in music festival as Let it Roll or Defqon.1 Festival.
