This Saturday 15th June is Cruinniú na nÓg, a day of free creativity for young people, supported by CreativeIrl.
There are some fantastic workshops and activities in Waterford that day like the ‘Sing My Own Song Workshop’ in the Waterford Gallery Of Art and suitable for 13 to 18 year old's.
By delving deep into their “best playlist,” participants will express their musical experiences, not in notes or keys, but through abstract visuals like dots, spirals, and wavy lines. These visual interpretations will eventually find their home on a Pringles tin, transforming it into an innovative speaker for phones.
Find out more and book your free place on the link below, or contact Creative Waterford.

Isn't this just fantastic, check it out!
Cruinniú na nÓg, Irelands National Day of free creativity for young people is the 15th of June.
Okay, we're kind of in shock that this is actually happening...
On the night of 15th June, we'll be holding an exclusive night time event for 14-18 year olds in none other than the Medieval Museum. Our magical team of helpers will transform the space into a spooky version of an American prom, so we expect attendees to dress creatively and accordingly!
Our fabulous MC Dymphna Nugent will be guiding us through a sparkling entertainment programme including four creepy five minute plays written and produced by youngsters on the day of the event (yes, you read that correctly!)
Then it's time to dance the night away and stuff our faces at the specially prepared banquet. This event is absolutely free, but tickets are marching out the door quicker than a zombie on a rampage, get yours before they're gone:
Looking forward to seeing the Hill @ Halloween, a collaborative performance at the bandstand in Ballybricken tonight, on Hallowe’en night at 8pm. There will be dance, music, lights, visuals and costumes that will stun you, and that this is an extremely ambitious piece of work.
Waterford Cultural Quarter market starting from the 29th April and open to crafts and food producers in the south East. Stalls only €10 and that includes insurance, excellent value and well worth checking out!!

Mary will share the 10 key areas you as sole traders need to manage in order to stay safe and mitigate risks in your business. They include managing lifting and moving, preventing slips, trips and falls, setting up your computer properly, driving safely for work, managing your stress and much more.
With over 30 years’ experience in health and safety across a wide variety of sectors including manufacturing, retail, hospitality, services and not for profits Mary will share some practical approaches to make health and safety a normal part of what you do. Health and safety doesn't have to be complicated but even if working from home you need to consider it.
Mary has stories to share about how something simple like neglecting maintenance and failure to install adequate and is some cases simple health and safety procedures were ignored, which resulted in causing extensive damages, or in some situations, completely destroying a business or worse, caused serious injuries and fatalities.
