Known as Tet Nguyen Dan or more commonly Tet occurs on Jan 25, 2025. This year is symbolized as the "Year of the Snake", and the celebration is the marking of the Lunar New Year; the arrival of spring.
The Krewe of Mung Beans will roll on Lundi Gras in the Dead Beans Parade on the Bayou St. John to Faubourg Treme parade route, which starts at 2 PM on March 3rd. But, you can enjoy seeing the krewe sooner at this year's Tet, set for January 31, February 1, and February 2 at the Mary Queen of Vietnam Church in New Orleans East.

Known as Tet Nguyen Dan or more commonly Tet, the celebration is the marking of the Lunar New Year, and the arrival of spring. It's the making of a very cherished and significant holiday, especially with Vietnamese families around the world; here on the Third Coast; and the people of Vietnam.

Considerably smaller than its neighbors, the 6th Ward is just 4 blocks wide and just under 40 blocks long. Even with its size, it’s not short on must-see New Orleans attractions. Along the Mississippi River is the French Market. Since 1791, this open-air market boasts 6 blocks of shopping and is open daily.

The Town Crier

The Redneck Riviera began in the Florida panhandle cities of Panama City and Panama City Beach. Also called LA... Lower Alabama, but more affectionately called the "Redneck Riviera". A strip of surf and sand that stretches some 95-miles along Florida's Hwy 98, with the most beautiful sugar white beaches in the world. But, as time moves on, boundaries change, and the Redneck Riviera has as well; extending deep into the three counties that make up the Mississippi’s 3rd Coast and boot toe of Louisiana.
