The last 20 years have been exactly what everyone tells you marriage will be and so much more. Over half my life, that's how long I've been loving you. Thanks for putting up with my crazy antics and shenanigans....but in all fairness, I was a redhead when you married me so you knew what you were in for. I'll never stop loving you babe ♡

I swapped out the rug in our dining room today. I've always used a small rug in there because I thought a bigger one would just be too big. Boy was I wrong!!! I love how this new rug looks AND fits!! What do you think? (Hop on to my stories to see the old one)

Happy Taco Tuesday friends! I broke away from pan frying approximately 6,534 tortillas to share a pic of the living room. I made a few small changes for fall and I'm loving the cozy vibe. In these crazy times I've never appreciated our perfectly imperfect home more. And now, time for margaritas! 💃🍹

Storytime!! So, there's this house that I would drive by and always loved. You know, one of those houses that you see and say "if it ever goes on the market, we're gonna go see it". Well, it did and my dear friend BOUGHT IT!! Not only did she move out by me and into my house crush, but her new barn had some of the coolest treasures and she gave me some!!! I mean, come on! Does it get any better?! That chippy, paint splattered old black chair is one of things she gifted me and I seriously couldn't love it more!! Hope you're having a great day friends! ❤

I miss thrifting! So today I did a little 'virtual thrifting' via Facebook Marketplace and found some really great stuff! How's everyone hanging in there?? These are definitely some strange, unsettling times, but we're all in this together.....only apart 😉 If you're new here, sarcasm and humor are coping mechanism numero uno for this gal. 🙋‍♀️ In other news, I recently had a staging client request to purchase a rug I used in their home. Seeing as the owner was an incredibly talented wood craftsman, I offered to trade him the rug for one of his pieces and he accepted! Naturally, I rearranged the living room to properly display it. Can you spot it? It's so cool and I love the story behind it. ❤🥰

Today's is perfect for school drop off and will certainly spread some holiday cheer (whoever said you couldn't wear jammies out of the house clearly hasn't let themselves go quite as far as I have). I paired these jams with a bright red puffer (we all know why 😁🤐😳), an aggressive spray tan, a cup of lukewarm coffee and a slept-in messy bun. "Have a great day at school, kids! Mama loves you!" 👋❤🎄

Enjoying every moment of this Saturday. It's a rarity to have a weekend with some downtime and I gotta say, I'm definitely not mad about it. Present wrapping, cracking fire, bacon cooking and a crime documentary playing. Doesn't get much better. (Tell me I'm not the only one who's mildly obsessed with true crime 😁)

The stockings were hung by the chimney with.... the tags still attached. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️😅 With 3 holiday parties, 1 birthday party and the typical child schlepping this weekend, I had to press pause on the Christmas decorating. Little by little. We're talking pine needle by freaking fake pine needle, this place is starting to look like Christmas. Why is it so hard some years, and other years it's so darn easy to decorate for Christmas?? Maybe I'm just over thinking it. I know, I know. Me?? Overthink something? Pshh. Never. One last pic before it all goes holly jolly up in here. 🤟🎄 It's a bright sunshiny day (which the puppies are fully enjoying, can you spot them? ❤🐶), perfect for getting those outdoor decorations up! I hope you all had the best Thanksgiving. Ours was great! It was also my "3rd" (🤣 swipe left) birthday and my family did the best job of making sure I felt special. My husband surprised me with concert tickets to see my most favorite artist of all time (if you know me, you know who I'm talking about. 💙🛳

Well my friends, let's the hustle and bustle begin. And I'm not just talking about the holidays! This was our first week of practices for club ball and this mama is tired. If you're new here (Hi! Thanks for joining the gang!), our oldest and youngest daughters play volleyball and our middle daughter is on dance team. We didn't get home from practice till 11 last night 😴😴😴😴 Yes, these bags are designer 😜 Anyway, I added a little greenery to the new mantle and I love it even more! A big shoutout to Jessica (love your name btw 😘) over at for sharing this garland in her stories. It's perfect!! Hope you have a great day friends ❤

Phew, what a weekend! Dance competition, volleyball tryouts, family visits, out of town trips, ya know, just your run of the mill family of five chaos 🤣 Between everyday life and work I've been slowly chipping away at a little dream of mine. We have an old barn/shop on our property that I've wanted to transform into an event and shopping space for quite awhile. I'm hosting my first event in the space in less than three weeks and I can't wait! It's still a work in progress, but I'm proud of how things are coming together out there. Here's a little sneak peak.

Ya know what I love?? Well, obviously carbs, sweatpants and wine, I'm only human. But another thing I love is finding original artwork at thrift stores! I picked up this beautiful watercolor for a steal a couple weeks ago. I plan on reframing it and then proudly displaying this talented strangers masterpiece for all to enjoy. I also plan on removing the cardboard from the corners of that black frame.....eventually. Best not to rush things. 😜

What?? Everybody's doing it....just kidding, just kidding. In our house we stand firm on our belief that pilgrims need love too! 😋😉 The Christmas decor doesn't go up until the day after Thanksgiving. No need to rush things. Life's already going at warp speed and I literally just put stuff on the calendar for May and June. Sometimes, the less time you have to enjoy something, the more you actually enjoy it. But, hey, those are just my thoughts. How about you?? Are the halls decked??

Hey guys!! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was a mix of busy relaxation....is that even a thing?? We had family pics with on Friday afternoon (DYING to see them!), then dinner with friends that night. We told ourselves that Saturday was gonna be a lazy day, but we ended getting tons of crap done around the house. Sunday was filled with volleyball tryouts and open gyms, and now here it is Monday again. Anyway, I wanted to share some detail shots of the incredible MANtle my favorite guy built (see what I did there 😅😜💪). Happy Monday friends! 🥰

I still need to take down the jack-o-lantern and crows, but I just couldn't wait to share a pic of the new mantle!!! My hubby really knocked it out of the park when he built this faux beam, I think he even surprised himself! 😅 What do ya think?? Would you be interested in a tutorial?
