A warm welcome awaits you the moment you step aboard The Floating Showroom from our crew the Baker, the Poet and Origami Flower girl. You are invited on a quirky experience to enrich your tea drinking enjoyment. An intimate setting aboard the sliding roofed boat lets you immerse your senses in this idyllic Origami Garden. Under the open skies you will surround yourself with blooming scented flower
s, singing birds, colourful butterflies, nesting swans and passing boats with unspoiled views of the Regents Canal. The professional poet will ask questions that will be transformed into a personalised poem, allowing the tea drinker to have their story folded into a form that they will treasure forever. It will be presented on a hand written, unique piece of your favorite origami flower. Our origami artist will show you how to fold the flower that you will take home. Your tea will be served from our weird and wonderful collectible teapots. We have a teapot for every enthusiast such as animal lovers, cottage explorers and British garden admirers. All teapots are available to purchase. There will be endless cups of tea drinking and delicious home baked cakes and scones served to you on a long table to enjoy this classic British delight. Gluten free cakes are also available. Dear Friends and customers, due to my family relocation to Liverpool we won't be running beloved Origami Poetry Cafe every Sunday anymore. On the good side we are looking for a new venue in Liverpool so fingers crossed Origami birds are migrating up North.
You can still book your child's birthday party in London on board The Floating Showroom for a pre agreed day.

Happy ! We were busy delivering Origami decorations and workshops at Shane's On Canalside Here East It was amazing to see even a 7 year old boy completing an origami skull :) Thank you for this beautiful colourful Hallween! All decorations were made using a scented paper.
Origami storytelling today on board The Floating Showroom we had a fantastic crew who loved creating the 5 sisters: the adventurous one with a map dress on, the dancing girl with a music sheet dress on, the baker girl with a delicious cupcake recipe dress on...it was amazing!
Creating a bat's bunting for the Halloween all day event at Shane's On Canalside. We always use a scented paper for our decoration NOW A Challenge for anyone who wants to get involved- What scent shall I use for the bats? Did you know the male Bat has a special scent gland on its wing. It roosts and shakes its wings to release scent to mark its territory and attract females :) I was thinking liquorice or peppermint.. Yesterday at the Hayes Canal Festival with the beautiful people of Hayes we were folding boats, swans, birds, flowers, and 'The Owl and the Pussycat on a beautiful Peagreen boat' scene. We had plenty of origami to give away: dresses for Mums and shirts for dads. Thank you Canal & River Trust for organising. We loved to be part of it.

Having a party? Host your child's special day with us. We provide Origami Birthday Party workshops. Simple squares of coloured paper will magically transform into birds, swans, boats, elephants, giraffes, lions and other sculptures when origami workshops are thought by our origami artist. The colours, texture and the scented paper will inspire your child's creativity and will give him a great source of inspiration to play for a long time after. Today we folded flipping birds that will go back to Manchester, hearts that will go back to Austria and Poland, and we all learnt some sign language: boat, cakes, hearts and friends! ORIGAMI LOVE. Thank you Hazel for our lemon drizzle and banana cake :)
