Oliver Scare never disappoints, hundreds of people all gathered yesterday and waited their turn for a chance to walk through and be petrified; myself included!😟
The goal of this video was simple, capture all of the hard work and dedication put in by Selena Owen and this incredible group of volunteers! Oliver Scare raises funds by donation for the Northern Cardiac Fund (Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation) the team uses all of their own money to create, procure and maintain this incredible stockpile of terrifying props, costumes and Halloween decor.
It was really nice to take a small break from finishing off my 2023 wedding films and really try to push my creativity with this video! Mainly, my focus was on sound design, and being creative while still capturing the horror that is Oliver Scare; amazing work team!

When you’re in a room full of swifties; you have no option but to DELIVER AND BRING THE PARTY!🥹🥹🥹This was one of the most incredible moments of my entire (albeit short) career in wedding videography; the way the entire crowd got involved and showered this couple with an unrelenting feeling of love was truly an unbelievable moment. However, these sort of things don’t happen on their own and there was some setup involved; along with help from some very wonderful people: 1: I went around table to table letting each group of guests know exactly what the plan was, and made sure if they had any questions to ask! This way, everyone was on the same page and as soon as the DJ made the announcement, everyone fell right into line.2: @kevin coordinated with me to make an announcement on the microphone for everyone to head over to the dance floor, and waited until everyone was ready to start the song!3: Bridesmaids helped make sure everyone was able to activate their flashlights and direct how to wave them; while I was focused on filming the moment.I’m so happy that everyone worked together to make a truly special moment for Chantal and Robbie, this is something they’re going to remember for the rest of their lives. I especially liked how everyone was living in the moment, not one person was recording it through their phone or trying to take pictures; just dancing and laughter, taking it all in!Congratulations you two! Melting Ice on Lake Superior in Shuniah, Ontario
I've wanted to capture the ice breaking apart along the coast of Lake Superior for years now but somehow always ended up missing it; I took a drive up Lakeshore today and managed to capture some gorgeous footage from the air!😊
Aerial footage always gives a unique perspective when compared to being at ground level, it's hard to see the patterns the ice makes from the shore!

I've had the pleasure of working with Guy Walter and the team at the Thunder Bay Botanical Conservatory to document it's renewal project that began last year!😊
For those of you who don't know, producing a video documentary about the Conservatory back in 2020 was actually how I got into filmmaking in the first place. The purpose of that documentary was to generate community support to keep the facility open as it was slated to be closed; it's incredible to see this project come full circle and now I'm creating content around the renewal!
This is the first in a series of videos we've made so far, and there is a LOT more to look forward to in the coming months/years while this renewal continues to pick up steam.
