Recommended Sunday listen - my first studio recording in a year - a new podcast for Black Wave 🇱🇹
Most mixes online are still dance mixes, while I think a lot of people are looking for interesting home-listening stuff, but not just ambient. A lot of my podcasts start like that, but then tend to build the dance parameter. This time I tried stopping myself from picking this kind of tracks, so overall experience keeps being a pleasant, headsy, deep & quirky electronic music listening session.
Another reflection was that the overrated mantra to go-with-the-flow unconsiously leads you to fall into patterns. This recording was meant to be put together specifically with the listener’s experience in mind.
I went for conventional 120-140 tempo range, but picking unconventional tracks. Some of them you might have heard me playing in the beginning of my warmup sets. Sometimes airy, spatial, sometimes dense and packed with sub bass.
I hope they will blend in with the melancholy of the passing summer. Thanks to those who have already listened to it 🤍
