We’ve spoken about pre wedding festivities, the rehearsal dinner and, of course, the morning of the wedding.... now let’s talk about the post wedding necessities.

Couples have started to steer away from leaving for their honeymoon the night of the wedding. They’ve postponed leaving to a few days later, a couple weeks later, or sometimes even months to a year. Because of this it now opens the door to having a post wedding day with close friends & family.
Sometimes guests travel overseas to be there on your big day so entertaining them doesn’t end immediately after the “I do’s”.

A post-wedding get together is a great way to extend the celebrations and spend extra time with your guests before they head home. Luckily, the etiquette for a post-wedding brunch/lunch (which is also referred to as a farewell brunch/lunch) is a bit more relaxed than the actual wedding itself.

A simple, but still elegant, spread of easy to eat items, a delicious bbq buffet, gourmet sandwich varieties, a large brunch setup, or a full grazing table are all great options. It will just be a comfortable afternoon where you reminisce about the best & worst points of the day before with the people you love most! To be honest, most of these people will be hungover anyways💁🏽‍♀️
