I've had a lot of people ask me how I feel not teaching now that everyone is back to school, and I usually reply with, "I'm living the dream." To which people laugh, probably unsure of how to interpret that (rightfully so!).
I really mean it though, this is my dream to be spending time like this with these two - playing, hiking, and working in the garden. It's not lost on me what a gift this is.
I'm also here to share that life isn't perfect... obviously, we our income has changed, and trust me, we have lots of sibling fights and tantrums during a day, but yesterday was a good one. I'm so very thankful for this time and this opportunity to steward these babies ❤️
I always thought garden roses were my "spirit flower," but maybe it's peonies 🤷♀️😍 I think maybe it's any flower with a long lineage and a call back to "the olden days."
Either way, aren't these gorgeous? We'll be saving most of our peonies for the next two wedding weekends. I'd say those brides are pretty lucky!

Spring has arrived!
We have our first handfuls of anemones! A few crates full of tulips in the fridge 🌷 it felt like it was never going to come, but feel confident (and happy!) because the flowers are back on the farm!
We will have farm-grown flower jars in the shop this Saturday with other goodies to make your spring weekend happy and bright!
Ensure yourself or a loved one a beautiful spring of colorful, specialty blooms: fragrant heirloom daffodils, fluffy ranunuclus, colorful anemones and tulips, and full peonies.
If I was going to pick a subscription for myself, this would be the one! Because these spring crops are so finicky, and because it's our first year doing spring subscriptions, spots will be very limited. You don't want to miss out! Even grab one now for a Mother's Day gift (but, I can pretty much guarantee we will not have openings come spring).
Mark your calendar now: Spring Subscriptions will open for sale on Friday, October 13th!
Feel free to post any questions 😊
Soaking in these fall days with my babies before going back to my full-time job 😭
Time off from both school and larger-scale flower-growing has allowed me to see things more clearly, both what I want for my small business and for my family. Things are always a work in progress, but I'm trying to work smarter, instead of harder in the future for this business!
A few things you can expect in the coming months...
🦃 Thanksgiving Arrangements + Bouquets - available now on our website (www.pleasantvalleyflowersfarm.com)! Spruce up your dining table. I promise they will be festive + beautiful!
🌷 NEW Spring 2024 Flower Subscriptions - these will be very limited and available for pre-purchase later this month (I will announce here when they are live)... think specialty daffodils, tulips, ranunuclus, anemones, and peonies!
💐 2024 Summer Flower Subscriptions will be returning too! Snag your spot in November, perfect for gift-giving! Again, I will be sure to share an exact sale date closer to the time!
🎄 Christmas Evergreen Wreaths - watch for their return this Thanksgiving! I hope to have additional offerings this year. Stay tuned!
I hope to have more efficient ways for you to shop and pick-up next season, along with the possibility for some events!
Thanks to those of you that stuck it out and read this far 🤣👍❤️
