Hello Cleveland!! It’s a tough message today, but on this day in 2022, Neil and Jonny have decided to call it a day for Ticketpunks. We had a good run but now isn’t the time.

We have had a great 3 years despite what’s gone on with the world in general and live music. We haven’t lost our love of music, if you bump into us in the real world we’d be more than happy to chat for hours about music.

This may not be our Last Waltz, keep your eyes peeled, if we feel it’s right we may get ticketpunks back together. Stay safe, stay cool and keep going to gigs.

While we bow out enjoy The Doors with the only choice for todays song.

Happy Friday everyone! July seems to have passed in a blur and we’re almost into August already!



Today is the 69th birthday of Geddy Lee of Canadian rock legends RUSH!



Geddy was the lead vocalist, bass player and keyboardist for the band which came to an end in 2018. Sadly, 2 years later, their drummer Neil Peart passed away from a form of brain cancer.



John has been a RUSH fan for a long time but it took Neil a long time to get into them. Luckily both have seen RUSH play live at least once. They are badly missed on the live circuit.

Well gigs are well and truly back! It's been great seeing so many people getting out there and enjoying music and events again!

TicketPunks is ready to make a comeback too! We'd love to hear about your gig experiences and are on the lookout for anyone who has recently attended a gig who would be happy to have a 10 minute chat over Zoom so we can start building up our gig reviews.

Today marks the birthday of drummer John Dolmayan who plays in System Of A Down.

In 2015 SOAD played in their home country of Armenia to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on their “Wake Up The Souls” tour.

Good morning and Happy Friday Ticket Punks!



On the 8th July 1954, producer Sam Phillips took an acetate recording of Elvis Presley singing 'That's All Right' to Memphis radio station WHBQ DJ Dewey Phillips.

He played the song just after 21.30 that evening, and the phone lines lit up asking the DJ to play the song again and again.



If you haven’t seen Baz Luhrmann’s take on the Elvis story you simply have to go and see it on the big screen. It’s amazing! Trailer below.
