This is why I love soil blocking. Look at those roots! This little baby is 5 weeks old and 1 of 20 I could fit in my hand. Soil blocking saves us so much space, resources and the plants do amazing. Do you soil block? Do you have questions about it? Let me know!

Very excited to grow some off season, indoor fruits/veggies with the ! After 3 days we’ve got 75% germination on the pods so soon enough Douglas will be eating healthier along with the rest of us…as long as he doesn’t take it out before it gets going.

First succession of lisianthus started. Last year I started them in late December and they did well so this year I’m trying another succession a few weeks earlier 🤞Hopefully in 7 short months we will see those ruffled blooms again 😍

Todays snow day project brought to you by Douglas! Over the past few months Douglas has acquired quite a taste for cloth napkins 😂 Today I restocked with some natural dyed cotton napkins that were bundle dyed with flowers dried from our gardens. I will definitely be adding more dye plants to next years gardens! These are dyed with marigold, chamomile and scabiosa.
