This community has always impressed me, but it’s been next level lately, as we all navigate unprecedented obstacles. From working on each other’s events to sharing studio space and inventory to deal with supply chain issues, to offering words of encouragement to keep going.
The above picture was taking on the day the first US death was reported from covid, just a few miles from where it occurred. I flew back from Seattle to NY in fear, thinking if I can just make it back to Brooklyn everything would be ok. 10 seconds later NYC became the covid epicenter and the world changed in ways we’re still dealing with.
Next to me in this photo is Tanya Y. Seattle Florist] who is an absolute beast in this industry and such a talented designer. If you’re not already following her, do yourself a favor and do so.
Since this day, the floral community has been nothing short of a lifeline. The embodiment of There’s something about the people attracted to this line of work or creative outlet. You collective of creative souls make me proud to run in the same circles. anyone have a better name?
