It’s been 7 months 1 week, 225 days to be precise since you are gone. I still don’t have it in me to write about you in my grief journal. The day I think about writing that story I cannot breathe. I cannot make peace with the fact that you won’t be wishing me this year on my birthday. The first blessing that I used to get was from you. It’s not okay to go and leave in between the chaos. You and me had so many discussions about things but when you are gone, I don’t know how to do anything anymore. I don’t cry for you. But my heart is in immense pain which leaves me with anxiety. And this year had been rough. I have lost more than I got. Now I don’t have it in me anymore. I don’t know how to not let go the fact that you are never going to hug me back. The night is dark and my heart is bleeding with excruciating pain.

Forever is a lie

I often come across phrases like “stay with me forever”; happily ever after; friends forever, lovers till eternity, I will never give up on you; I will never leave you. As the years passed, I realized that they are all a blatant lie. Nobody lives with anybody forever. Nothing lasts. People are expecting permanence when we, ourselves are temporary in this life. We don’t know until what time we are alive. We might live today but can surely die tomorrow. So what is going to happen to our promise for staying with someone? It seems a lie to me. Nobody stays forever. One who comes in your life will go away conveniently one day with the most stupidest reason. Or just die one sudden day.

Forever is a lie and I believe it strongly.

The hustle and the bustle of the city always leave me in deep thoughts. The busiest roads of Downtown that always has traffic. The uncanny silence take over me when I hear the noises of vehicles, people crossing the roads. That’s us. In the audience full of people you are alone and contemplating yourself what’s in store for you. The plethora of emotions engulfs you when loneliness becomes your only solitude. It’s not depressing but in fact it’s a new learning when you start enjoying your own company. You feel complete and loneliness becomes your companion along with the hustle and bustle of the city, the lights of CN Tower, the moon becomes your soul keeper.
