Posted • Emergency Press conference to help us get the message out about our situation.

Tomorrow, Monday, December 26th
Time: 12noon (meet up at 11am)
Location: corner of Corbett Street and Carmona Ave.

Simply put, We are trying to avoid our eviction and displacement.

Our landlord passed away donating our buildings to .
The University is now selling the donated buildings that they got for free.
They have hired a broker to sell the buildings who has not officially or publicly listed the buildings in the traditional way. It appears they're working with buyers in a closed circle community.
We have been noticing a lot of things going on here so we got informed and managed to connect with the Liberty Land Trust through which we have made an offer to buy all the donated buildings that include Corbett st and Clemson St. So far our offer has not been taken seriously as it appears that they're preferring to cater towards the for-profit buyers.

A total of four buildings, 40 units, over 130 people made up of elders, children, disabled, and overall working-class people struggling to survive.

Considering that the donor of the buildings was concerned with the global poverty, considering that the mayor is concerned with homelessness that she signed an emergency order, considering that we're all working class struggling tenants, All of this would make me think that they would be concerned enough to reach out to us and see If we had the capacity to buy the buildings or help us connect with an organization to assist us by the buildings. Nothing was done by them, however we manage to do that work bringing a store right now.

We are continuing to affirm our offer to Boston University clearly establishing that we have the capacity to buy these buildings that they receive for free.
We deserve the right to stay in our homes, We are once paid for the buildings that they got for free, And in the end this becomes a win-win situation for everyone where they get paid and we get to stand our homes.
