Hey there! Just wanted to introduce myself and share a little bit about me!
I'm Madalyn Duncan!
Lover of people, a good theme, sparkles and a Dr. Pepper.
I'm a wife to my best friend and high school sweetheart, mom to the smiliest little boy, nurse by trade, and now officially month/day of wedding coordinator and event planner!
For the medical people I've done a little bit of every kind of nursing: med surg, pediatric ICU, pre/post op, allergy and immunology, and women's health. Each of these areas have made me someone who is organized, compassionate and empathetic, a time management freak, able to remain calm under pressure, and an advocate for people.
I have always loved a party, thanks to my mom. From the time I was little, she would host the best parties and there would always be a theme, whether that be a birthday party with my favorite character or show, swim party, s'mores parties, or Christmas tea parties. You name it we probably did it! This instilled in me at an early age to have an obsession with a good THEME! If there's going to be a celebration for something why not go all out with a theme? It also instilled in me a love of gathering and celebrating with people for life events. Everything is more fun surrounded by the people you love.
I have also always loved a wedding and am quite the hopeless romantic. My 1st grade best friend and I had file folders with different files for each part of a wedding: flowers, dresses, cakes, rings, food. We would spend hours flipping through magazines and cutting out the perfect pieces for different types of wedding days.
Fast forward to planning my own wedding, I remembered my love for the details and design that go into creating that special day. I love being able to help each person create their own, individualized best day ever. I love the endless options and variations from person to person, and how a wedding truly shows off different peoples' personalities. It is a reminder that God has made us each unique.
