We may be on the cusp of some welcome warmer weather but September heralds the start of autumn 🍂🍄🍁 I enjoy the change of the season and always look forward to the autumn highlights 🎃🔥💥🎂 if you know me, you'll know I just love Hallowe'en! 🧙🏻‍♀️🕸️🕯️

This year has been all about focusing on my health and optimizing my treatment on the cancer journey, something I don't often share.
As ever, my family are my rock. 💙

I look forward to seeing the changing colours and embracing the beauty of Nature, getting cosy at home and enjoying autumn walks with my boys 🧡

Flowers from the Farm is honoured and delighted to share the news that scented, spring cut flowers grown by our members of across the United Kingdom are set to decorate the Quire and the Grave of the Unknown Warrior of Westminster Abbey for the Coronation Ceremony.

The flowers are a gift to Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla in celebration of Their Majesties’ Coronation from our membership association of artisan growers of local, seasonal cut flowers.

Flowers from the Farm has been working closely with floral designer and sustainable floristry advocate Shane Connolly to bring the beauty, joy and variety of local, seasonal flowers to the heart of this historic occasion.

The flowers have been grown in harmony with the natural seasons, outdoors and in polytunnels on flower fields, allotments, cutting gardens and walled gardens. Since every plot has its unique growing and weather conditions, the displays in Westminster Abbey of more than 4500 stems will reveal a unique floral tapestry of springtime in the UK.

Flowers from the Farm members teamed up to relay buckets of fresh flowers to local hubs, regional hubs and then onto the main hub in South Gloucestershire, where they were sorted and prepared for Shane Connolly to arrange at Westminster Abbey.

The Coronation marks a landmark moment for the global flower farming movement. It demonstrates that local, seasonal flowers deserve to be seen at state occasions just as much as they do in bridal bouquets, funeral tributes or vases in the home.

Those first signs of Spring - our snowdrops peeping out and the shoots of the daffodils - heralding the arrival of Spring freshness. A time of renewal, hope and vitality. I love the bright, fresh green of the coming season 💚

January is the month of the annual Up Helly Aa fire festival in the Shetlands 🔥

At home, we are lighting candles daily, they cast such a cosy glow. 💛 There's nothing nicer than an evening meal by candlelight in January 🕯 and we have decided to take our tree down at Candlemas so extra glow! 🌟🎄

We've had a day out! And what a fab day it was too 🎄✨🎄✨ The Enchanted Forest full of fairy tale characters and decor, throughout the house. Just splendid. A super start to the holidays!
