Saturday night's dinner to celebrate a 40th in Melton last week.

Kids dinner first with a Pork Ragu Tagliatelle and had the little ones rolling it out with me, very sweet moment! Always try and get the little ones involved!

Then canapés of:

-Butley Mussel Scampi, Parsley Aioli
-Baron Bigod + Cranberry Bites
-Honey + Thyme Chipolatas

Followed by:

-Seeded Sourdough + Raw Bungay Butter

-Venison + Truffled Cheese Arancini, Apple Ketchup

-Rare Beef Fillet, Brown Crab Tortellini, Carrot Puree, Winter Greens, Salsa Verde, Pommes Paille + Port Jus

-White Chocolate Cheesecake, Salted Caramel, Passion Fruit Curd

Made the annual cake for the child, good old 4am baking after a private function.

She asked for a "safari" theme complete with a highland cow, hedgehog and an otter. I think we need to have conversations about animals and their natural habitats...

Strawberry sponge, jam filled, white chocolate mousse buttercream, zero effort of fondant animals/decoration but there is a blueberry jelly otter pool with edible rocks made by .woodthings

Another dish from our new Autumn/Winter for a birthday celebration in Aldeburgh last night. Busy one so sadly no starter or dessert images.

They ate:

-Autumn Vegetable Spring Roll, Plum Sauce
-Smoked Garlic Butter Hake Kiev, Kale, Leek Puree, Lemon Thyme Velouté, Chervil Oil
-Chocolate Fondant, Vanilla Ice Cream, Torched Meringue + Blackberry Compote

☀️ It's 100% BBQ season! ☀️

Finally with some sun shining on us for more than a day or two, salad collections are becoming popular at The Open Kitchen HQ!

Remove the stress of doing all the annoying sides of BBQs or buffets when hosting your friends and family and just pick them up from Woodbridge ready made instead. BBQ kits, whole evening meals to finish at home and canapé options too.

-Dark Chocolate Brownie, Mango Salsa, Caramel Espresso Ice Cream + Lime Meringue

Last Monday was full of the most gorgeous sunshine in a beautiful setting just outside of Ingatestone for an 80th birthday party.

Our guests dined on

Canapés of:
- Smoked Brie Gougères
-Crayfish + Crab Salad On Toasted Rye

- Seeded + White Sourdough, Whipped Raw Butter With Miso

-Black Garlic Roasted Sirloin, Honey Roasted Roots, Winter Greens, Mustard Mash, Crisp Onion + Beef Jus
-Pan Fried Cod, Winter Greens, Lemon Mash, Scallop Roe Velouté + Seaweed Tuille

- Delice, Salted Caramel, Espresso Ice Cream + Crisp Toffee

Sadly no images of the beef dish despite it being the most beautiful!
