Nutty Scientists Melbourne are currently seeking entertainers, or performers, for conducting science experiments with dramatic effects. Casual work conducted in the District Docklands, Melbourne Metro. Paid training will be provided.
This role will suit someone with flexible availability on weekends and weekdays and will commence around Christmas 2023, all the way to the end of January 2024.

POSITION: Science Instructor/ Entertainer
Are you an aspiring actor? Or perhaps one in the field, looking for extra work during the summer months (and possibly beyond)?
Fantastic opportunity available to work as an Science Entertainer at District Docklands running a Science show, edutaining kids and parents during the summer school holidays and beyond.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Background in theatre (preferred)
• Worked with children in some capacity
• A valid working with children check
• Fun and bubbly nature
• A background in Science (preferred but not necessary)
• Your own transport, a valid driver's licence
• Be flexible with your working arrangements
We will provide paid training, excellent remuneration and flexible working hours. The District Docklands Project will run for 8 weeks where we will be able to offer up to 30 hours of work. You can continue work beyond that period as a Nutty Scientist, on an ongoing, casual basis.
Nutty Scientists is a leading global provider of interactive science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs for children between the age of 4-13.
As a Nutty Scientist you will lead and conduct our award winning in-school programs, after school programs, holiday workshops, parties, shows, corporate events and awareness campaigns across the Melbourne Metro region.

School Holidays are Baaacckkk!!!
Term breaks are fun times for our young ones, with no early morning rush to school, extra family time and heaps of new memories to make.
We would like to thank our families for supporting our school holiday workshops, we sold out of the first 2 days within a couple of weeks of first going live and now have around half capacity left for the workshops on 20 April 2022.

We have 4 days of exciting science workshops planned for Term 2 school holidays at Syndal South Primary School (Mt. Waverley).
The topics that our budding scientists will cover will be:
- Game of senses: where they will learn about some of our sense organs and how important they are 👂🍉🥞
- Blast Off to Space: where they will go on a journey around our solar system and our moon and learn the sciences involved in space travel 👨🚀🚀🌠🌙
- Ecology: where they will analyse land and aquatic ecosystems (with an entire topic dedicated to Dinosaurs!) 🐝🐔🐛🐳🐠🦖🦕
- Forensic Science: where they will get to be a CSI for the day, and learn the sciences involved in investigating a "crime scene" 🕵️♂️🧑🔬
