It’s “weed/wildflower” appreciation day today and we are celebrating with one of our favorite symbolisms to this beauty:
Ragwort//: “resiliency”.
Resiliency is a form of hope + is the capacity to recover quickly from setbacks because you never know when you’re minutes away from a breakthrough.
Ragwort is the perfect definition for being one of the most RESILIENT “weeds/wildflowers” with it’s thick root structure + ability to adapt & flourish no matter what environment it’s in. Although not always welcome, it finds a way to bloom it’s beauty.

“Overcomer” stems from the word “nike” in Greek as to “carry off the victory in your battle”.

Hydrangea: everyone’s favorite pom pom for so many reasons:
In Asia, giving one in pink symbolizes that you are the best to their heart.
They are hypoallergenic + asthma friendly- they don’t produce a fragrance.
Their color depends on the amount of aluminum in the soil, so when you go to plant one- through a handful of nails underneath the soil.
In the Victorian era, it symbolizes “thank you for understanding” or “perseverance”... and also “boastfulness”. Choose wisely.
And lastly, according to a Japanese legend- a Japanese emperor gifted the woman he loved because he wasn’t paying enough attention to her and focusing on his work too much as an apology + representation of his gratitude of her understanding.
When arranging for a special someone yesterday to send some encouragement, I came to it’s missing piece.
