For all the couples having an outdoor wedding! A fitting tip for this rainy season. Always have a plan B and keep Murphy's Law in mind (anything that can go wrong will go wrong). If you're getting married in Jamaica , especially if your date falls within the rainy season (June-November), try to have a plan B just in case there is persistent bad weather on that day. You wouldn't want one of the most important days of your life being sabotaged by heavy rains after all that planning and spending.

A wedding cake doesn't need to be big and extravagant to make a statement. And guess what? You don't need to serve it to your guests either. You can have a small 1-3 tier cake for yourselves, and have a sheet cake that you serve to your guests. That's a guaranteed way to cut costs for your big day.

Cake materials also influence the cost. A fondant cake will cost significantly more than a frosted cake. Sugar flowers will cost you more than fresh or fake flowers. A fruit cake will cost significantly more than a vanilla cake.

If the cake is something you definitely want to spend on, go for it and be as great as you want to be. After all, it's your day and you deserve the best 🙂. However, if the cake isn't a significant element for you, these are things you can look at.
