The superdog stand, gryo stand, and downtown cart have shown only resilience in all of their ventures. I am sure they will bounce back as soon as the COVID-19 nightmare is over. Be sure to offer whatever kind of support you can. It has been a staple and such a very supportive part of the Ames community for 25+ years! Be safe and happy!
Smiles Food Carts are currently Closed!
We are focusing on the safety of our staff and our community. For over 25 years Smiles has displayed toughness, indefatigability, support for our community regulars and open arms to our community newcomers. Right now we are looking at ways we can display these same characteristics.
For our staff: Continue to support monetarily and emotionally.
For our community: Provide what food we can to Food at First or other safe food options.
For our companions: Help ensure, as much as possible, the local service industry is being supported.
Most importantly, remember we are all going thru this together and will come out of it together. Please continue to show compassion, support, and aid to each other any way you can. Community doesn’t just mean being next to each other; it’s an idea of working together to help one another.
Stay home if you can. Stay safe.
