All boats taking part in the Poker Run MUST be registered with the Poker Run committee to receive their participation flags.
Boats not registered with the committee and that do not have a participation flag will be subject to stop and search by the RAPF Marine Unit.
Boat registration is free. All that is needed is the name of the boat and full name of the captain.
Foreign boats MUST check in with Immigration,Customs and AASPA to take part in the run.

The 8th Annual ANGUILLA POKER RUN kicks off at 7 a.m at Lit Lounge with a mini Breakfast Fete presented by Kerri and Chippie. Come out early and enjoy a tasty breakfast while enjoying the sights and sounds of the boats from the Virgin Islands being launched into the water. Get an early look at all the boats and teams from St.Maarten/St. Martin, as they sail into the harbour all while being entertained by Dj Lil R and Dj Siwroo from SXM. Get the fastest eater on your team signed up for the pancake eating contest and try your luck in one of our pop up poker games that will be held throughout the day.
At 8:30, we will start late Registration/Sign-Up. Players will receive their participation wristbands, breakfast and lunch vouchers and pull Card #1. Captains will collect their Registration flags for the boats at this time.

At 10:30, there will be a mandatory safety briefing for all captains.
At 10:45, it's time to 'Start your engines' and get the run started.

STOP 1 DaVida's Beach Club in Crocus Bay. Players pull Card #2 while teams compete in the Slip N Slide Team Beer Drinking Contest and the Kaiyla's Pizzar Spicy Pizza eating challenge, all while being entertained by Dj Stylez.
Please note, the end of the wharf at Crocus Bay is reserved for the Party Boats.

STOP 2 Garvey's Sunshine Shack in Rendezvous Bay. This is our Lunch Stop, relax and enjoy some tasty BBQ while Players pull Card #3. Ladies will compete in a Rum Punch drinking contest and the crowd favorite a dance contest. Be sure to listen out for your chance to win special prizes from Digicel. Entertainment by Dj Jeanie.

STOP 3 Connors Park Meads Bay. Players pull Card #4 as teams compete in a relay challenge. Then the powerboats take over as boats attending from each island test each other out in a powerboat exhibition. This is something you definitely don't want to miss. Entertainment by Dj Bless.

STOP 4 Raft Up Party at Little Bay. Boats tie together around the Floating stage as attendees pull out their floaties,swim,drink and dance the afternoon away to the sounds of Latest and XHD plus some surprise djs and artists.Get yourself on a boat this is one stop you don't want to miss.
No cards will be pulled at this stop.

STOP 5/END Lit Lounge in Sandy Ground. Players pull Card #5 and have the opportunity to purchase a card. Dj Yooshe will keep you entertained as the Poker Run committee goes through the scoresheets. Winners will then be announced and prizes will awarded to the best looking crew, best two piece swimsuit, best one piece swimsuit and best male swimsuit. Followed by the prizes for the top 3 hands.
The after party continues with the ASAP Band out of St Kitts.

Registration cost (price per hand)is $250. Players can play as many hands as they like, more chances to win. Friends can also get together and play as a team.
Each hand comes with a breakfast voucher to be used at the Breakfast Fete at Lit Lounge, a Lunch voucher to be used at Garvey's Sunshine Shack.
Registration will be available at the Poker Run booth in the carnival village during all summer festival shows.

Cash prizes for the top 3 hands are based on participation numbers. The more people play the higher the prizes.

POKER HAND RANKINGS (highest to lowest)

ROYAL FLUSH: Run of sequential cards from Ten to Ace, with all cards of the same suit.
STRAIGHT FLUSH: Run of sequential cards, all cards in the same suit, but not Ace high.
FOUR OF A KIND: Four cards of the same rank e.g. four Aces, four Kings etc...
FULL HOUSE: Three cards of the same rank plus a pair, e.g. three Aces and a pair of Kings.
FLUSH: Five cards all of the same suit.
STRAIGHT: Five sequential cards, not of the same suit.
THREE OF A KIND: Three cards of the same rank e.g. three Aces, three Kings etc...
TWO PAIRS: Two sets of pairs e.g. two Aces , two Kings etc...
PAIR: Two cards of the same rank e.g. two Aces, two Kings etc...
HIGH CARD: If you have none of the above , then the highest value card in your hand plays.

NOTES:
Aces count high for all hands - e.g. a pair of Aces beats a pair of Kings.
In a Straight an Ace can count low (e.g. A, 2, 3, 4, 5) or high (e.g. 10, J, Q, K, A) but NOT BOTH (e.g. Q, K, A, 2, 3 is not a straight)
IF ANY CARD DRAWN IS A DUPLICATE OF A CARD PREVIOUSLY DRAWN, THAT CARD MUST BE RE-DRAWN. No hand can have any duplicate cards (e.g. you cannot have more than one King of Hearts in your hand)

Prizes are awarded on the Poker Hand rankings outlined above, not on speed. We want all participants to have fun and remain safe, so please take your time on the run.

ANGUILLA POKER RUN 2023 SAFETY RULES!!!

The 8th annual Anguilla Poker Run is fast approaching and we want everyone to have fun but to be safe while doing so...

The Poker Run is not a race. Prizes are awarded for the best hand in the card game not speed.

Please take your time during the run.

Keep a safe distance from other boats while moving.

No jumping from moving boats.

No jumping from boats with engines still on.

Boats should not be overcrowded. Captains should be able to see at all times.

All foreign boats MUST check in with Immigration, Customs and AASPA.

There should be no sudden change of direction or cutting off of any boats.

Wave your hands in the air to signal to other boats that you are slowing down.

No hard banking "harbour style" at Stops.

The speed limit in each of the harbours is 5 knots.

No dumping of trash overboard.

Everyone on board should be encouraged to look out for other boats and swimmers when pulling up to stops.

Boats are required to have enough life vest for each passenger on board.

Boats are required to have fire extinguishers on board.

Boats are required to have a VHF or cell phone on board.

There should be no speeding at Stops.

Once boats are tied together that area should be treated as a no wake zone.

All poker run participants must wear their identification wristbands.

All boats must display the flag provided by the Poker Run Committee.

Boats without participation flags will be subject to stop and search by the RAPF marine unit and Dutch coast guard vessels that will be following the run.

Captains are responsible for keeping a manifest of everyone on board.

Captains should remain sober and follow the rules and laws set by the Anguilla Maritime Administration.

All captains are required to attend the mandatory captains/safety briefing before the start of the run
