If you are recently engaged, go to all the open houses you can. It’s a great way to see venues and meet vendors! Plus, who doesn’t love trying out food and drinks from some of the best catering + bar teams.

Are you recently engaged and feeling slightly overwhelmed? We get it, there are so many moving parts to a wedding. If this is you, here are some steps to help you know where to begin.

1. Set an overall budget and decide your guest count. Remember, the larger the guest count, the more meals, bar drinks, centerpieces, linens, and table top rentals. We are firm believers of quality over quantity.
2. Finding a venue comes next. Things to think about with a venue- what is included and do they have any required vendors?
3. Starting booking your main 5 vendors. We suggest not doing everything at once. Spread it out and figure out your payment plans.

Happy Friday friends! It’s hard to believe that after today, there is only one more Friday of 2024.

As we reflect on the year, I can help but share one of my favorite parts of a wedding album. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨.

For your guests, the wedding invitation is the first introduction to your event. This fall Brooke and Kyle’s suite was the perfect sneak peek for what guests would experience on their big day.

Day 2 of reflecting!

Sarah and Reid’s spring wedding was the perfect pairing of Bridgerton with a modern twist.

Yes, I loved the color palette, pictures, tablesettings, and flowers, but the real show stopper was the undeniable connection between Sarah and Reid. They were present and focused on enjoy everyone’s company on their big day. Getting to work with couples like them is the easiest reminder of why I love my job!

I’m reflecting on this year, and what better way to start with this beauty!

I had the privilege to work with GeorgeAnna (and her mom JoAnna)for over a year to plan her big day. If I had to choose three words to describe her and her style, they would be; timeless, thoughtful, and intentional. Every decision that went into her day somehow ties back to one of those words.

It was an absolute joy getting to work with this family, and I appreciate the trust they gave me throughout the process!

A wedding speech that did not disappoint 🎤

If you are preparing to give a speech at a wedding here are some reminders-
• Inside stories are enjoyable for maybe 5% of the people listening.
• It’s a nice gesture to share some kind words towards the person your friend just married.
• You don’t need to write out your entire speech, but I would not wing the whole thing.
• If parents paid for the event, it’s nice to recognize them and say thank you for their hospitality.

2025 brides, your time is right around the corner. Here is 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 past Lila Lane couples have shared-

• Don’t wait till the last minute to do the small details like write thank you cards to your bridesmaids. I like to tell my couples to imagine your wedding is exactly one week before!
• Make sure you clean your shoes after you take bridal portraits.
• Stay with your partner throughout the event, that way you share the same memories.
• Ignore the people that cancel last minute or no show. Don’t let them rain on your parade.
