Lake Sara Kids Summerfest Cancellation
Dear Friends, and Families,
We are informing you that the Lake Sara Kids Summerfest has been cancelled. We are deeply disappointed to have to make this announcement, but we were unable to reach an agreement with the Lake Sara Beach Area on the fees required to host the event.
As you know, the Lake Sara Kids Summerfest is an event that is designed to provide families with a fun and affordable way to enjoy the summer. We had hoped to continue this tradition, but the Lake Sara Beach Area has made it clear that they are only interested in events that generate revenue.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause. We are currently looking for a new venue for the next Summer's Kids Summerfest, and we hope to be able to announce details soon.
If you purchased a wristband for the Kids Summerfest, you could return it to the point of purchase for a refund.

We would like to inform you of an important update regarding the dates for the upcoming Lake Sara Kids Festival. Please take note of the revised schedule: the event, originally scheduled for July 7th and 8th, will now take place on July 14th and 15th 2023.
Homewood Grill will not be available at the event due to unavoidable circumstances.

The Downtown Effingham Business Group invites everyone to enter a float, group or vehicle in the Lighted Christmas Parade. The parade will take place at 5:00pm on Saturday, December 3rd during Effingham Hometown Christmas!

A limited number of entries are available and the deadline to enter is November 18th. All entries must be decorated with lights in a Christmas theme. A $20 vendor fee is required for all entries except veterans, school groups, & emergency vehicles.
