Hello SARMOTI Friends!
So sorry I haven't been around, I have had some health issues that look like they are on their way to being resolved - Yay!!!
As you may remember, I adopted Siegfried & Roy's two dogs, "Lucille Ball" and "Norma Desmond" when they passed. However the real Animal Caretaker and Dog Whisperer of our S&R Family is Marianne Warkmeister, whom I am sure many of you know. For over 30 years she had many roles at S&R, but her passion was always the animals. She tirelessly took care of all of the Household dogs, cats and birds, many times taking them home to recover from illness, and sadly at their end of life.
But very happily, the whole group of the S&R Dog Family now reside at her residence. When you look at this photo, which she took herself, can there be any doubt she is Magic!

Hello All! Been busy so not posting much. I finally went to the BEACH October 14-19 - it was Grand! Never saw the tide so high, but we have never been there in October. I will post some photos if you would like to see them. Never walked the beach because there wasn't any due to high tide, but it was fabulous to watch and listen from our balcony. Saw some old friends, did a little shopping but much to my disappointment, the Kris Kringle Shop in Carmel is closing after 40 years! I never went there without coming home with goodies, and this trip was no exception.

Was invited to a Staff member's daughter's wedding at the JP - how beautiful it was. Met the new Owner who is an absolute Peach! He and his Crew have done an incredible job of keeping the house alive. I have to say it was weird being at a function there that I wasn't working - I kept almost jumping up to help, but it was sure enjoyable. George (Owner) promises Holiday Party invites and I can't wait!

Hello SARMOTI Friends! I heard details about Linda's surgery and though it went well, she has a very long road ahead. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers - she is such a lovely person - I am so blessed I met her personally. Thank you - you always come through!!!!!

Good Morning! I heard something this morning from SARMOTIWORLD Fan Club that needs everyone's prayers. One of the Administrators, Linda. is undergoing cancer surgery as we speak. Please send up all of your good wishes and prayers, she is a very sweet person and has worked hard over the years on behalf of Siegfried & Roy and all the Staff as well. It was a joy to have her visit the Office with the other Fan Club Angels. Thank you. Sharon

Hello All! Dagmar sends such great photos! This one reminds me how excited S&R were to see the "Showbiz" magazine every week. We would always get a stack and mail them out to our little mailing list of Friends and Family. Their New Year's parties were legendary. I was invited every year and sadly, never made it. Lily (who some of you remember worked with me from 1997 to 2004) and I actually had solid plans to attend the 2003 party, booking rooms and attending the Show and party. Tragically, there was no show or party that year. Always made me sad. But, we need to remember all of the great times we had - Lily and I were at Roy's Birthday party in 2003 - we all always said it was the best party ever! I got to dance with both S&R on stage that night - what a blast! Enjoy.

Good Morning All! I remember one day Mr. Roy brought these guys, "Hocus" and "Pocus" to the grassy courtyard at my Office. I'm not sure why he brought them, but they were real characters. Always a good time when Mr. Roy came to visit at the Office!

Hello SARMOTI Gang! Hope you are having a great Summer - I just stay inside and stay cool ! I know you have been seeing the beautiful photos posted of the S&R Animals in their new homes - they look very happy. Melody is in Oregon again as I write this delivering supplies for our Kids' comfort and well being. She is amazing, as are John and Patrick. They will be totally out of the Mirage in a week or so, lots of work in this heat! You don't realize what packing out of a Facility like that involves - Kudos to Mel & Team. Otherwise, not much to report; in addition to the lemon tree the guys brought me from Little Bavaria (pray it survives!) they brought me 5 Oleanders that used to line the driveway that are doing great. Makes me feel like I have a little piece of my favorite place. I haven't been by the Jungle Palace, but I understand lots of activity is going on there. Many of you have asked about Justin - he relocated and is doing fantastic! I sure miss him - we sat together for 16 years..... Take care, and thank you again for your devotion. SARMOTI

Good morning from HOT Las Vegas! It's supposed to be 114 today....oh why did I not put in a pool! Anyway, Dagmar's latest photo brought back another funny memory. The construction of S&R's Marquee was a huge project. They decided they wanted it to be the tallest Marquee on the Strip, and for that request they needed assistance to get it passed throught the Hotel and the City. So, one Saturday (why is it always Saturday?) my phone rings and who is on the other end but Mr. Siegfried! He apologized profusely for bothering me on my day off, but said he really needed me to come in to the Office. So, in I went and both Misters were there, wanting to dictate a letter to Mr. Wynn about the Marquee. So, for the next few hours they went back and forth until they got it just right. It became so long that it was going to go to two pages, and I respectfully told them that I was taught never to go over one page because people tend not to read more than that. Well, we got it down to one page, but I have to say the font was pretty small! In any event, they got their wish, and their spectacular Marquee was erected. What a good memory, I still have a copy of the letter somewhere. Stay cool! SARMOTI Sharon

Hi! I know I probably told you this before, but this photo brought up a funny memory. Back in the 80's, before I was recruited by S&R, I worked at the Tropicana in the Executive Office. One Saturday I got called in to find a Dentist for Andy Gibb, who had chipped a tooth. Mission accomplished!

Hello All! There have been lots of comments concerned about S&R's Animal Family. Please know that their Animal Care staff, most of whom have 30 years with them, researched the absolute best fit for the cats based on their individual needs. These two Sanctuaries are the best fit for them and we are confident they will acclimate and thrive. Of course we expected them to live out their lives at the Mirage, but circumstances dictate otherwise. PETA should just be ignored, they have no idea what they are talking about. So, enjoy the photos and info their new homes are sharing and be happy!!! Warmest regards to you all, and thanks for your never-ending compassion and devotion. SARMOTI

Dear Friends & Fans,

On behalf of Mr. Siegfried, we wanted to post something expressing our sincere Thanks for all you have done over the years. Unfortunately, Siegfried’s illness prohibited him from sending you his personal words of gratitude for the wonderful gifts he received at Christmas, but he did see them and they made him very happy.

Like Mr. Roy and the rest of us, he was overwhelmed by your decades of generosity and support.

If you recall Mr. Roy’s “Farewell Message” that we posted for you, he told Siegfried that he was “going upstairs to prepare the best Show you have ever seen in your Life, and all Siegfried had to do was arrive with his baton to start the Show.” We made sure he packed it!
