Evening to our KPC committees, Managers, Coaches First Aide officers, Trainers, and Volunteers of the 2021 teams,

Thank you so much for a great weekend of togetherness and Hardwork. You did your town, team, Players, Players Parents, Carers, Elders and Community proud on the weekend. I know in my heart we had the right people and couples to be managers and coaches on the weekend...

Managers 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 again Thank you for all the background work you did to make the coaches and players life so easy. To the coaches and players "Thank you" for the hardwork and sporting spirit that comes so easy to you all... this is referred to as HARDWORKING the South Sea way... we earnt the bragging rights of being good at what we do...

I've sat down with our major donor who will support us in 2022 to get things started for KPC the date has been set 4, 5 November in Mackay.. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE,

On 16th March 2017, my younger brother Joe Fatnowna and I sat down together to talk about how do we tell the 90 stories of the 114 South Sea Islanders buried in the Mackay Cemetary (M&K helped raise the funds for Madassia to which we handed over for them to finish their headstone project)....M&K Project Researcher Imogen Healy (Bach of Town Planning, Bach of Environment Science), had put together these records for our 2016/2017 RADF project. This is were the dream, the idea, and the vehicle to tell our 90 stories was developed "The Kanaka Proud Cup" (targetting the Cutters 10 years anniversary game against Capris to be played at the Mackay Stadium 2017, Mesh & Knots Mackay connected with RASSIC to link with the young people of Rockhampton to play a Rugby League Game against Mackay young people the match would be the curtain-raiser game for the Cutters and Capris.

This weekend 9th Nov 2019, M&K and the Mackay and Rockhampton Men's Group Common Thread Welcome you to the 3rd Year of the Kanaka Proud Cup.

Make connections with Family and Friends, Keep the Dream Alive...Once history had Forgotten the Blackbird people .... we are alive and well today we are "The Kanaka(ASSI) People"...

Congratulations Rockhampton and Mackay young people who were selected to represent your community this coming weekend in Mackay....8&9 November 2019.

25 years ago the former Prime Minister Mr. Paul KEATING recognised the AUSTRALIAN SOUTH SEA ISLANDER people of Australia, we were finally Recognised as a distinguised group of people 131 years after we were Blackbirded to this country you call home today,.

This weekend we want you to learn more about your history, listen and learn your Kanaka story from our elders, this weekend make connection with family and friends, do not cause harm to others (please note if you disrespect our rules you will be ask to leave our event).....ps remember football is only one vehicle of how we are keeping our story alive....

Please remember to always acknowledge and pay respect to our past elders, listen and learn from today's elders and acknowledge tomorrow future leaders.
