Today marks my 4 year anniversary.

In July of 2020, I received a call from my friend asking me to cook for her and her friends in their backyard. I told her sure but I would have to come up with a plan to do so because this wasn’t in my wheelhouse at the time. She told me to just make the menu boujie and that’s it. So I did and the rest is history…

When you don’t catch me at the San Gennaro feast or at a house party slinging food in people’s kitchen, you can find me supporting various foundations because this is who I am.

I met the Capolongo family sometime in 2021 and since then was always fond of how this family put their child first in every aspect of life. Not only him but others suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Their dedication and support that they get through the foundation is absolutely incredible.

Yesterday I took part in their annual 5k run/walk at Midland Beach in Staten Island. I was able to bring my son with me for the day for him to see how many people support this great cause.

I’m so glad to be a part of this foundation and to give back in any way I can. #

You may or may not have known, back in October 2017, I opened my own restaurant called Chef Mike’s Rodizio Grill.

An all you can eat Latin-South American restaurant on the south shore of Staten Island.

Although my decision to close in 2019 was sad, I learned that you must move forward and keep grinding. I wouldn’t be where I was today without this experience and would not be able to serve your house parties if I did not make that decision.

Thank you all for your support and if you have not experienced the NEW & IMPROVED Chef Mike brand, please give me a shout.
