There are some pretty special wedding-day traditions that honor Dad.

Walking the bride down the aisle.
The father-daughter dance. ❤️

But what about Mom?

We love our couples, but we also get to work with some really great mamas.

We see them long before the wedding day arrives. They’re helping with the planning, running errands, answering questions, making things, calming nerves, and doing all those little things that somehow make getting to the big day a little easier.

And then the wedding day comes, and we get to see them in a whole different light.
They’re cheering. They’re crying. They’re making sure their kid has eaten. They’re soaking in every moment. And, despite our best efforts to tell them they don’t have to worry about a thing, they’re still finding little ways to take care of their people. ❤️

We see the mamas.

And we love seeing them get a little moment of their own on such a special day.

Because after everything she’s done to help you get here, it’s pretty great to let her know just how much she means to you.

Think you don’t need a planner? Think again. 👀

If you want to be fully present on your wedding day and actually remember the little moments you spent so much time planning, do yourself a favor and hire a planner or coordinator.

Because while you’re busy getting married, someone should be busy making sure the wedding actually happens. 💍

You shouldn’t have to spend your wedding day checking the timeline, answering vendor questions, or wondering what’s happening next. Every time you stop to manage the wedding, you’re missing a moment of it.

And if you ask a friend or family member to take on that job, they’re missing those moments, too. Instead of being fully present with you, they’re working behind the scenes to keep everything running.

You (and the people you love) should get to experience the day, not manage it.
You get to be present. We’ll handle the rest.

Have you heard of the Pittsburgh Cookie Table? 🍪

Born out of immigrant communities during the Great Depression, the tradition was a way to celebrate without spending a fortune on a traditional wedding cake. Family and friends would bake cookies and bring them to the wedding, creating a massive dessert spread that was affordable, communal, and incredibly personal.

And honestly? We love that.

Because it’s also a great reminder that your wedding dessert doesn't have to be one giant cake.

A dessert table can give you more variety, incorporate family traditions, let you serve some of your favorite treats, and potentially save you money in the process.

Cookies, cupcakes, pies, brownies, candy… whatever makes you happy.

Your wedding doesn't have to follow the “one big cake” rule just because that's what weddings have always done.

And if a giant table covered in cookies sounds better to you?

We fully support that decision.

Just make sure you have plenty of boxes for guests to take some home… because otherwise, you’re going to be eating cookies for a very long time. 🍪

Every business has a beginning. This was ours. 🤍

As we get closer to celebrating 5 years in business this January, we’ve been reflecting on where it all started — our very first wedding in August 2022.

Before the packed calendars and countless wedding days, there was simply a couple who trusted us with one of the biggest days of their lives. This wedding will always hold a special place in our hearts because it was the beginning of everything.
