One thing I love about Vanessa: she CHALLENGES me!

As a photographer, people typically just book a session with you and it's fun and amazing and I love it--but then there's Vanessa. She brings a theme into every session and I just LOVE it! She wanted a 1950's theme for her maternity session, and then says, "My grandpa has this old milk truck that I would love to be able to incorporate somehow."

When I say that I was in heaven working with this--I mean I was in HEAVEN! This was so fun. Her hair, the lipstick, the shoes--she showed up ready to match the truck. She brought a little onesie that was red and blue since her sweet little boy is due in July. And I loved even more that she wanted pictures with the whole family as well as individuals. This was such a fun photo shoot.

My eclipse photos

I have to be honest, this was one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced. While I’m a little sad I didn’t get the actual face of the moon and the blueness of the atmosphere (we were in totality for less than a minute), I’m still glad I got these!
