Join us for a night of exploration into the deeper, more experimental, trippier shades of riddim dubstep.
This event was born out of a desire to create an oppurtinity for homies of ours that play and produce unique styles of riddim and heavier dubstep to flex their tunes on our HSD sound system.
This event will have minimal production, blacked out dark room style with a fat sound system and crisp full color lasers.

We will be hosting an Open Decks 'double drop' competition at 7pm. The winner will get to play the opening set and the $75 pay that goes with it. Even if you don't win, this is a great chance to get to know us and network and show us what you have to offer.

Of the numerous forms of Shiva, Ardhanarishvara is one that has always intrigued me immensely.
Being a Libra I have always found the concept of balance intriguing, integral, and at times infuriating, a state that must be maintained and not achieved.
Also being prone to vices with an addictive personality I have spent a large portion of my life seeking exoteric, or exogenous satisfaction and fulfillment in many ways, including romantic love.
My personal experiences with the self-internal discovery of the most ancient techniques of self-realization (which I soon after realized was already immortalized in the epic Vigyan Bhairav Ta**ra; a mindblowing set
of techniques explained in a dialogue between Shiva and Parvati) triggered ecstatic states and the experience of Samadhi. It was then I found True Love, even though I had long since found my eternal
counterpart on this planet. It was that true self-love and eternal love and gratitude to all beings that catalyzed a deeper kind of love for my graceful goddess Elgin.
Shiva and Shakti, united, in union within the eternal self: This was it. Ultimate ecstasy and transcendent bliss. It was something to be realized and experienced within. And only when it is realized within
does that ta***ic true union create a fusion of two lovers into one, and then into none.
This is an experiment I decided to try.
Sometimes my workflow of creation is to render out a plain model in 3D software and then work from that base in several different pieces of software to obtain
a unique synthesis that becomes a kind of digital, personal expression.
This time I decided to use the base "model" or image from an AI-generated image via Mid journey, effectively using it as a tool substituted for 3D software. (The original Mid journey base image is in the comment section)
It was a very interesting experience as the AI generator creates a "complete" image in itself, especially in relation to lighting, values and depth.
I also found difficulties in this specific workflow to "transcend" the AI-generated style and feel. I especially had the need to recreate the eyes, mouth and certain facial features.
All in all it was a fun experience. I am very interested in your thoughts, ideas and feedback on the process and result. Feel free to comment, and I appreciate

Weaving soul touching, intricate melodies together with experimental sound design, Josh Teed's music is an experience unlike any other.
After 20+ years with a violin in hand, the 25 year old producer and instrumentalist is aiming to break down the barriers between electronic and instrumental music, by bringing his unique blend of hard hitting bass and outside the box violinistry to ears around the world.
Brought to you by the community, this event is a collaboration with The Gradient Perspective, Vibrate Awake, Bass Trinity, Pressure House, Ebisu Sound, and Basic City Brewery.
As winter is cold in RVA, we will be doing a coat and blanket drive for the homeless in our community. Donations enter you into a raffle where 1 lucky person will win 2x tickets to a future show of ours. There will also be a show poster signed Josh available for the first 15 donations.
As always, our special curated events will be on our full HSD sound system ( the 'Pink Henneys' ), featuring tasteful lighting, art, & deco. Prepare to be transported to another world as we explore the theme of 'Recurring Dreams', together.
We encourage everyone to arrive early for the Sound System Yoga, a truly vibrational and grounding experience, and a unique way to deeply experience the immersion of high fidelity sound.
A panel of producers will be available to give feedback on your productions and offer you a chance to test your latest mixes out on an HSD rig, and time permitting there will be open decks after everyone has gotten through song feedback. If you are a producer in our community, we would love to see you take advantage of this opportunity to level up and connect with other producers.

One of our goals with Vibrate Awake is releasing music through our self branded label, and you have seen me make a few post the last year about releasing an artist compilation. It has been coming together slowly but beautifully, and there is a wonderful roster of artists from the DMV and beyond that are absolutely killing it and we are ecstatic to release this compilation to the community.
We are making our debut in NYC this summer, expanding our presence up and down the east coast. Goals are to grow the label side of things to the point where we can host festival renegades and takeovers, as well as curating events everywhere we have been making our presence known, showcasing the talent we believe in on a proper HSD rig.
To everyone involved in helping me grow so far, thank you. I could not have got here without the help of friends and people who believe in me and I recognize that and am thankful.
