Every year, we embrace the spirit of giving during the Friday Pride at the Goblin King Masquerade Ball! It's a wonderful chance for us to support a local non-profit. 💜

At the end of this Friday's performances, we'll happily tally up the tips you've shared with our talented performers. Awkward Nerd Events is excited to donate 10% of that total to the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center (https://buff.ly/3WHDdwj). The more generously you tip, the larger ANE's contribution will be, so let’s make a big impact together! And rest assured, performers keep 100% of their tips because they truly deserve it!

Join us for an exciting lineup of performers on Saturday night, the second night of the Goblin King Masquerade Ball, where appearances can be deceiving! 🪄🔮

We learned in mid-December that Wandering Lantern Productions (formerly Goblin King Players) would no longer be able to attend. To ensure an amazing experience for all our guests we'll be bringing you even more intrigue with ambient performances throughout the venue! Featuring artists like The Amazing Flec (Douglas M Schell) and Cirque du Cham showcasing contact juggling and various illusions. Each act will perform at intervals during the evening, allowing guests to gather around and experience the magic up close!

🎨 Friday, January 17th: Ivy's Illustrations ( on IG) will be creating stunning fashion sketches of our guest, capturing your masquerade look in style!

✏️ Saturday, January 18th: Ed Steckley- Illustrator will be on hand to draw delightful caricatures, giving you a fun and unique keepsake from the night.

For an added touch of fun Friday will feature a group dance to Rocky Horror's Time Warp and Saturday everyone can get down to V.I.C's Wobble!

Searching for a fun, social activity between Christmas and the New Year? Join us Sunday, December 29th from 12-3pm at The Sugar Maple for Crafternoon!

Just in time for NYE, we'll be making cute, wearable art! Participants will be given supplies and instructions to create a super unique fascinator. We'll learn how to manipulate different materials, the best ways to attach them, and the finishing techniques for a showstopping design. Everyone will want to know where you got it! 😉

Scoobies, guess what?! Buffy Prom is THIS SATURDAY, May 18th, and we asked the amazing Emma Caulfield to tell us about shooting The Prom episode for Buffy (S3EP20) and share some advice on what to wear! Buffy Prom isn't specifically a cosplaying event so don't worry about perfectly recreating an original look. Showing up in your best 90s duds or Goth/Vampire attire is great! Don't worry, if you don't have vintage originals hanging in your closet you'll still be able to put something together with ease with Emma's tips.
