Reminiscing about a truly unforgettable evening with the American Red Cross. I was honored to do the florals for their annual Long Island Gala celebrating local heroes. As a new small business owner, I am beyond grateful for all of the support I’ve received in this wonderful community. Can’t wait for what’s next…this is only the beginning!🌹♥️🌹♥️

The ocean has always played a major role in my outlook on life and as a result, my art. I was fortunate to grow up on the Long Island shorelines. I’ve lived in some other states for a few years during my college days but I was missing the smells, textures and sounds of the ocean (and the prolonged boat horns!). I’ve been back in NY since 2011, and I have continued to be grateful to live in such a magical place.

Here’s a little fall and costal-living inspired arrangement. Who else has lived or currently lives by the ocean?!

For those that are new here, welcome, and thanks for dropping by! My name is Jessica and I’m the owner of Blooming Florets. Quick summary: I was always the “artsy” one in my family, but I was also captivated by the sciences - eager to discover nature’s beauty wherever on my journey. I love abstract photography, architecture & design, fine art, fashion, film production, horticulture, animals, and the list goes on. It’s been a long and tortuous journey of discovering where I belong in this world, and I am just beyond grateful to have found nature as my medium of choice - ultimately, the art of floral design. I was extremely scared, almost paralyzed by the thoughts of failing…that want for perfection. After encouragement from others and most importantly, having faith in myself, I finally did it - was born. Because of this, I am the happiest I have ever felt, and I’m full of excitement as I watch my small business bloom. Thank you to everyone who has been there from the beginning and by my side especially through all of my career changes. 🤣🙏🏻🥰🌸

It was just a few days ago when my company was one of the few lucky vendors at the annual DOGust 1st birthday celebration for all rescue dogs with the North Shore Animal League America. I feel a deep sense of gratitude for the continuous support from everyone (you know who you are ☺️) as I a continue building my floral business. Couldn’t be here without y’all! 🥰🌼🌸🐾💗

Come join me and the North Shore Animal League America this Tuesday, August 1st for their annual DOGust event celebrating all rescue dogs! I will be making fabulous flower crowns for your fabulous pups 🌸👑🌸we’ll be partying on the beach . A portion of my proceeds will go directly to the animals in need of rescue and adoption 💗

I had my very first flower workshop with these amazing Bloomies over Memorial Day Weekend! It’s so wonderful seeing the uniqueness of each arrangement.
