Kristie Wilkinson - Civil Marriage Celebrant Encouraging and supporting madly in love couples in their quest for a Wedding Ceremony that is as unique as they are. Photocopies are not acceptable.

I am a Civil Marriage Celebrant who is excited by creating modern, contemporary ceremonies that reflect the way people think and feel about marriage in today's society. I get a kick out of learning about new corners of culture and the diverse manner in which couples want to celebrate it. I'm a sucker for brides and grooms who express themselves through fashion, art and humour and I am a great love

r of exciting wedding photography. Plus, I genuinely enjoy supporting smart couples as they attempt to think outside the box and challenge the huge cultural expectations that come with weddings and marriage. As a Vocailst with over 10 years experience performing at countless Wedding Ceremonies and Corporate Events, I understand first hand that no other single element of your ceremony has the power to move your guests and engage the emotions of all in attendance the way music does. I love encouraging couples to strive for the ceremony that reflects them, and their relationship. LEGAL BITS

The legal age to be married in Australia is 18 years. By law, a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) must be completed and lodged with me at least one clear calendar month prior to your wedding date. Both the bride and groom will need to produce original copies of their Birth Certificates plus a photocopy for my records. If you were born outside Australia and cannot locate your birth certificate, you may be able to use an overseas passport showing date and place of birth or a Statutory Declaration. If the bride or groom has been married before, a Decree Absolute or a Death Certificate (if the previous spouse has passed away) must be produced. If either party has changed their name by deed poll, the official Change of Name document must be produced. All documents need to be in English or have an official English translation attached. All certificates MUST be originals, extracts or certified copies. If you cannot lodge the NOIM with me in person, you will need to complete it in front of a Prescribed Authority and send it to me with the photocopies of the documentation mentioned above so I can verify all the paperwork has been filled in correctly. Prior to the ceremony both bride and groom will have to sign a Declaration of Marriage to confirm there is no legal reason why the marriage cannot take place. By law, two witnesses, who are over the age of 18, are required to attend the wedding and sign the Marriage Certificate.

🌈✨ Happy Mardi Gras! Today, we celebrate not only love but also the freedom for everyone to authentically be themselves.
I believe in love without boundaries and celebrations that embrace everyone under the rainbow.
To all the couples I've had the honour of uniting and to those yet to embark on their journey, today is about your love shining as brightly as the colours of the Pride flag.
It’s a celebration of love in all its forms, from the grandest gestures to the simplest acts of kindness.

"Obviously we cannot provide all the detours available for all the single households beforehand. So people are grown-ups and can find out the best way to get around," said Head of Sports at Lateral Events, Florent MalĂŠzieux.

Jake and Nico truly are living proof that while Covid has robbed the world of so much, it wasn’t going to rob them of their dream wedding. Before the ceremony even started, loved ones from Nico’s beloved Chile tuned in with delight to wish him well and send their love. The whole thing was just so damn emotional and happy, and joyful and all the good feels. is a legend, he was the perfect choice of photographer for J & N and I highly recommend you reach out to him if you’re planning your wedding, he’s just a doll, a talented one at that.

I've had so many of my couples reach out to me over the past few days as things appear to escalate, and so I wanted to share my thoughts.
Your wedding day is more than just one day. You are meant to enjoy (Mostly) the lead up, the build up, the anticipation and the excitement that comes with planning a wedding....not simply enjoy the ONE DAY that is your wedding day.

I have two types of brides; the first is the 'Oh my god Kristie, do you think we'll have to postpone? Do you think it'll get worse? Do you think our guest numbers will be cut down further? All I'm doing is watching the news!'

and the second type of bride who's mantra is 'Whatever happens, happens'. (For what it's worth, I'm Type-A, OCD and would likely be the first bride).

There is no right or wrong way to react. We are all different and we have different responses and different feelings, fears, thoughts and expectations.

My fear is that if you're spending the months and weeks leading up to your big day watching the news and scrolling the government websites for updates, then you're doing yourself a disservice. You're missing the good stuff and if you're anxious every single day about what to do, if you're worried and teary and on the edge of your seat at every announcement Gladys or Sco Mo makes...... then if you can, just postpone until next year.
It's ok, we'll make it work, AND you won't have a stomach ulcer. Yay!

IF YOU CAN, consider postponing to a time when you'll be scrolling pinterest instead of news. com. When you'll be able to share photos from your epic hens weekend, instead of photos of you crying, b***s deep into a bottle of champagne (Not good for stomach ulcers btw)

If you aren't fussed and are going ahead regardless of restrictions, then sweet! Move ahead.

But please, beautiful brides, look after your mental health and really reassess what is important to you x
