We would like to inform you that while our plans may appear seamless on paper, real-life ex*****on can present challenges. Unfortunately, there has been a delay in placing our humble shack at the Food Truck Square.

We intend to provide a comfortable space for you to sit inside during cold weather or extreme heat, equipped with both heating and air conditioning systems. Your comfort while enjoying our food is our priority, especially considering the winter and hot summer conditions. 🍂

We are working diligently to fulfill the necessary requirements before we can place the shack at the Square. Despite this delay, we have devised several solutions to address this situation: 🍃

🍃We will set up popup tents with
outdoor heaters.

🍂Order from your car by calling ahead or on the spot, and we will bring the food to your car so you dont have to get out of your car and just stay warm 😉

🍃We will deliver to you. However, bear with us because we are still learning how to operate delivery requests
properly.

🍂Beginning of next week sometime,
you will be able to order our foods, drinks & desserts from DOORDASH &
UBER EATS apps! We will update you when the apps are activated and ready to go🙂

Anyhow, my husband and I are 🍂committed to doing everything possible to ensure your warmth and comfort. 🙏

Hello everyone! Hope you all are well and keep yourselves warm in this cold weather season. It has been so cold out there although the sun has been so shiny and bright lately 😊

Anyways, we would like to keep you 🌺guys updated, and we want to apologize to inform you all that we experience an unfortunate development we were un aware of resulting in the delay of our opening date.

Our original plan is to open by the end of January, but it is going to be changed to February 8th instead, and we will not have our Fridays Dinner special of Seafood Boil on the menu until Friday, February 21st

Meat The Skewers are looking forward to be at the Food Truck Square all year round from Tuesday - Saturday 11a - 8p with Sunday & Monday closed. 🌼Additionally, when we have special events such as County Fairs & Rodeos, catering orders, and National Holidays such as Christmas, we will be closed at this location.

Here is our another new lunch item “RENDANG BENTO” —- Bento = Lunch Box.

“Rendang” is a traditional Padang (west Sumatera island) dry beef curry. Beef that is slowly cooked in creamy, rich coconut milk with delicious house seasonings, and at a low heat. It takes approximately 8 hours to cook it. The beef becomes tender, seculent, and rich in flavor.

The aroma that comes out while cooking it, sure brings back the childhood memories! Rendang is a delicacy that has been brought down from generation to generation. It truly touched my heart while cooking it! Every dish on our menu has special stories and memories behind them 💕

This meal also comes with Javanese traditional green salad mixed with tasty, savory, shredded coconut dressing, and seasonal fruit or a dessert. Also, one more: … A free soda pop!! 🥰 And…… one more: It’s GLUTTEN FREE, too!! 😁

We can’t wait to serve you all again soon! 😊

We concluded with our Winter Menu after working on it for the last one month! One main task is done! Yay!! We just can’t wait to serve and to cook for you all again! We have been working on the 2025 plan and still half way to go. Now that the Winter Menu task is completed, we still have to finish our trailer project. Although it is very cold out there, but it wont stop us to keep on working 😁 We will give you guys updates as we are working on towards our goals and deadlines! 🙏

Anyways, here is one of our new Winter Menu items, Javanese “Mie Ayam or Babi” or Javanese “Chicken/Pork Belly Noodles Soup” with a type of noodles you can choose from: Udon noodles or Yellow Eggs noodles or Rice noodles (Gluten Free). This dish is perfect to warm up your soul during winter season 😁 It is affordable, delicious and such a comforting soup to indulge with your family or friends 💕

It has been a total of five and half years with three years in this fun, challenging, adventurous journey of a food truck endeavor. Although the journey took most of our time away due to the many hours we had to put into it, and so many orders or demands to fulfill, we are grateful for the knowledge we had received from it. The joy and challenging roller coaster ride in this type of business has given us thrills, wisdom, and priceless new lessons.

Life is full of surprises, miracles, and joy in every move we made in the food truck business. The moves that were absolutely required understanding, patience, strength, sacrifices, 🍃consistency, and commitment. There is no doubt that every life goals we make is a process, a progress, a percept upon precept experience, and it absolutely takes time. Its success depends on our full efforts, commitment, and willingness to ride in both smooth and bumpy roads.

2024 taught us a lot of things and we are grateful for the ups and downs simply because they taught us of correction, innovation, and improvement to yield better results and growth. We are thankful for all your genuine 🍃feedback and supports in shaping us how to be better cooks and servers. We will continue to learn from all of you, to innovate, and to improve! We truly enjoyed the last 5 1/2 years in serving you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts🙏

However, there are circumstances we encountered especially, from the last 2 years that lead us to take a decision that we might not be able to reach out to some areas as much as we used to due to my husband’s and my own health. Unfortunately, I have a certain heart condition that forced me to slow down 😌 (each year, we are getting much older guys, and our bodies tell us to slow down haha 😆) As a result, we have good and bad news we would like to share with you all. 🍃

The bad news is that we might not be able to participate in some events we had in the past, and will continue only events that are close to home. However, we plan to operate year round by stationing Meat The Skewers at the Twin Falls Food Square located at 1216 Filer Ave E in Twin Falls.

We will have summer and winter menus. We will give you updates as we work towards this goal. Our goal is to be ready with our winter menu by January 2025. The winter menu items will only be very simple with dishes that we 🍁assume you might like and love 😀 It is going to be a collection of Southeastern Asia comfort street food for winter of “You build your own noodle soup” with variety of toppings you can choose from. Toppings will include red & white meat, seafoods, dumplings/wontons, a variety of vegetables, and other healthy choices such as homemade tempe and tofu. In addition to this dish, we will have Lumpia aka Eggrolls (Javanese style) as well as “Gorengan in the Basket” or “Tempura in the Basket.” We attached a few pictures what they look like 😊 We cross our fingers and hope you guys will like them 🤞🏻😅

We will update you as we move along, and we look forward to a new challenge and experience in 2025! We will start working on this project in December and aiming to open with our winter menu sometime in January 2025. Time sure went by too fast! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for all your supports and your kind hearts supporting our local food trucks including us! It’s a bittersweet moment for us because we love to cook and love to serve you, and meeting & making new wonderful friends. Life is beautiful with you all in it!!

Life is indeed a journey and we can’t believe we have been serving you all for 6 years now. We learned a lot from you and thank you for helping us grow and learned new things to serve you better each year. We want to apologize for those who were not feeling satisfied with our food and or services. Give us a chance to make it better and learn from our mistakes by reaching out to us and giving us honest feedback so we can improve for the better.
