The Studio is slowly getting cranked back up. This weekend I did some Memorial Day arrangements and a few funeral arrangements, it felt good to be working with my hands again. I've officially moved Makin' Merry Studio back home to A-ville where it all started. I am now taking orders again! Be on the lookout for a few pop-ups with Lil Martha in the future. Hope to hear from y'all soon!

After a lot of prayer, thought, and who am I kidding, worry I have decided to take a hiatus from flowers. My kids need me right now, so that was the easy part of the decision. I am so thankful for my customers, my beautiful brides and of course the excitement I had the pleasure to see on people's faces. I hope to be back in business by Summer, we will see how it goes. Babies come first. For now, keep on loving each other, spending time well and of course supporting small businesses!

The day before the big snow, I did flowers for the most beautiful bride and sweetest family. The Barton's were so nice, and just kept trying to feed me! The colors and flowers for this wedding were perfect!

FINALLY got to do some foraging and make a new wreath style I've been thinking about for a while. The wreath is half grapevine wreath, half rope. It is the perfect balance of the traditional and industrial farmhouse aesthetic. Sorry for the car as a backdrop photo shoot. In true Amber style I forgot to get pictures before leaving the house. I've been in a very, muted low key creative mood this holiday season, which is very unusual for me. Maybe I shouldn't have pinned so many Scandinavian style decorations on my Pinterest holiday idea board this year... we shall see if that changes...

One of my favorite veterans, my Papaw Troxell. Army Air Corps WWII 359th F.G. I never knew he was an actual war hero until later in life. To me he was my milkshake drinking, French fries with pepper eating, Hee Haw watching buddy. I sure do miss him bad.

Two weddings today- two! Both delivered by 12 today! Two different styles, a first for me using dried flowers in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The second, beautiful venue, sweetest bride, sweetest flower color combination and the coolest groom's cake I've ever seen. I was enjoying myself so much (and possibly asleep) that I forgot to stop and take any pictures at all! So, thats coo.... Hopefully, the photographers will be generous with the photos! LOL!

Once mid to late October hits, the zinnia colors mellow out a bit due to cooler temps, but that are still so amazing. I love making arrangements for people I love to celebrate their love for each other! LOL! Happy Anniversay and Michael!!! Also, can we just ralk about that raw edge, washed velvet ribbon for a sec? Give me all the vintage vibes!
