Another clean sheet and a first MOTM to go with it for our number 1 🧤

We weathered a storm in the first half, managing to survive an onslaught from a spirited RA side to go in level at the break.

Half time: Redcar Town Reserves 0-0 Darlington RA Seniors

The second half continued the same way the first had ended, with RA looking the more likely to score. That was until, on 75 minutes, Oguntowo was pulled down whilst through on goal leading to the RA centre half being sent off. After 85 minutes, Reader won a header and allowed Sharp to burst forward. He then played a great one-two with Buck who thread the ball through the eye of a needle to once again find Sharp. Sharp managed to squeeze his shot under the RA ‘keeper and the ball trickled over the line. On the cusp of full time, Shallow was caught the wrong side of his man and received his second yellow card, giving away a penalty in the process. With 3 points on the line, Topham stood up to the test, saving the penalty.
