I know this may be a lot to read, but here it goes!
I hope those that left early and bought raffle tickets still have them. I will post the numbers later today and what the prizes were. I have to finish unpacking them so PLEASE keep an eye on our posts.
I want to thank every single one of you for coming out Sunday, April 16th. And I mean a BIG thank you. It just goes to show how big the RC community is and how every group comes together; from the bashers to drag racers and everyone in between. So again, thank you all so much!
Several years ago, when the Reckless RC group started, I never would have thought we would be hosting charity events and having these types of outcomes. Its crazy to me to see everyone come together, get along and have so much fun over RC cars. I am truly grateful for this and for all of you!
On paper we had had a total of 88 people signed in for either tables rental, crawler comp and the jump. But I talked to a few that showed up and didn't sign it, so there was at one point over 115 people in and out of the building just for RC cars. This is crazy to think of considering it was such a nice day to get yard work done around the house or get that classic car out of storage.
Since I try to be transparent, here are the numbers the community raised - From table rentals, raffles, crawler course and the jump the RC community raised $1487.00. From food over $500 and I'm not sure what the bar took in. For as cheap as we tried to make the event you guys came through and I definitely applaud and thank you all.
I am sorry you all did not get to win something, but I blame my niece for picking the tickets. lol. I am just kidding. If I could I would have given you guys a lot more for sure.
I have to do a few meetings today, but will get a video and live stream out early this week of some coverage. If you have pics or videos please send them my way so I can do a nice video at the end of the week.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone. I know some of us are struggling to make it right now but stay strong and safe. This is just a minor bump in the road.

Below is a schedule that we will be trying to keep obviously times maybe ending sooner or go on a little bit longer depending on how things are going.

We will also be trying to do some drag racing wrong but you're wrong style in that 12:30 the 1:30 distance while everybody's outside we knew batteries are going to go fast because January is pretty cold so please be prepared we will have a spot for a battery charging as well but please keep in mind watch your batteries if they are puffed up or don't look safe please do not bring them

10-12 swap meet and mingle
12-1230 lunch swap meet and mingle
1230-130 outdoor distance jump run what you brung.
130-3 crawler competition
3-4 raffle and giveaways. Mingle.

Bring some dollar bills to enter the longest distance jump. Open to anything you want to send flying.

Bring them dollar bills to enter the mobile crawler course that is in the works.

Only $1 a try. Crawler course is by furthest distance or fastest time. Longest distance jump is exactly what it sounds like. Hit the ramp and go as far as you can!!

Each winner will receive a prize. It's yet to be determined.

Reckless RC and The Variety Club Of WNY would like to welcome you to the first ever Charity RC Swap Meet.
This is a family and children friendly event!
Date - January 15 2023. 10am-4pm
Where - Variety Club 6114 Broadway, Lancaster, NY 14086
As most people know, I will always do what I can for charity, especially when they help out children. Also, as a member of the Variety Club, I would love to get more kids involved in events. So, as a start, please feel free to bring your kids.
I will have some construction equipment onsite as well as a few other trucks for kids to try out!
All Proceeds from this event will go directly to the Variety Club at the end of the day.

This is an indoor event.
-$10 table rental.
-Food and Drink on premises to purchase (No outside food Please).
-Outdoor ramp and and jump for the longest distance competition.
-Crawler course competition.
-If there is no snow we will race drag cars.
-50/50.
-Raffles for ready to run vehicles. And I mean READY TO RUN WITH BATTERY AND ALL!
-Other raffles as well, 24th scale crawlers/rally car.
-Door Prizes.
If we have the room inside we will try to set up a drift/tight turn road course. This depends on how many tables are setup.
If you have a business that would like to be a sponsor, that would be greatly appreciated. The Variety Club and myself will be advertising this event on all our social media platforms, YouTube and flyers.
If this works out, I know there will be a lot more in the future. We are also planning a big race day/kids day for the summer and a RC Car Show.
We will have a table set up for battery charging.
Tables will be provided. $10 at the door.
The Reckless RC Team will have a little display setup. Make sure you come check it out and sign our 1/10th scale bodies that we keep for special occasions like this.
