It has been a busy bookish weekend for our LoreMakers Ladies!

Lauren scored her local book clubs monthly read from Hundred Acre Books and the cute, hand made book sleeve from The Bear And The Blade during Culpeper downtown Wizarding Weekend!

Meagan and Karri met up to show support for the market hosted by The Twisted Bookmark this morning in Deridder and scored some of our attending authors books for themselves and the girls!

Overall, a really great weekend for us ladies!

LoreMakers isn’t just a hobby for us; it’s a passion.

A passion we choose to pursue and expand upon any way we can.

Many of you saw our glitter faced, skirt wearing, Swifty loving LoreMaker, Karri, at Seelie Soiree leading the charge for our morning market. She is being all of that enthusiasm, heart, soul, and passion into a new venture (don’t worry, she’s not leaving us) and much needed small business right to the heart of Lake Charles!

A bookish café that will also offer up a small space perfect for those book club meet ups, date nights for the reader (she will help your SO be the perfect bookish boy/girlfriend), and so much more.

We are extremely proud of the hard work she’s put into making her dreams become reality and can’t wait to see some of our featured authors books on her shelves!

Wow, just WOW! We’ve had so many new friends join us since starting the page, and my heart is bursting with gratitude! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for the amazing support and excitement about our little dream coming to life in Lake Charles! We couldn’t do this without the love of our incredible community, and your overwhelming enthusiasm has been nothing short of amazing.

For those who don’t know me yet, I’m Karri Hill, the caffeinated, cheesecake-loving, book-obsessed heart behind Krew’s Books & Brews! 📚☕️🍰 (Book cafe is making total sense now right!) I'm also one-third of the fabulous women behind the LoreMakers Fantasy Events. If you’ve been to any of our magical events you know we adore all things fantasy, authors, community, and supporting local small businesses and creators. If you haven’t checked us out yet, go give LoreMakers a follow – you won’t regret it!

I’m also a very tired but endlessly passionate mom of three. After recently stepping away from my “normal” day job, I decided it was time to chase this dream with my whole heart. My amazing husband and I said, “Why not? Let’s do it!” And here we are, turning a dream into reality.
