I am excited to share some news with all of you! My husband received military orders yesterday that will be changing our life up a bit! At the end of the month, I will be temporarily moving to Oklahoma for my husband to pursue his dream of becoming an Air Force pilot. I will prioritize keeping my family together, as many of you know. My husband has been gone for almost half of our daughter's life. While this change is sudden, it is only temporary, and Averie and I have gotten time to discuss what the next year will look like for Poppy Events.
So here it is: Poppy Events is going nowhere. I have worked very hard to build this business, and I am taking this change as an opportunity to continue to grow. So we will continue to take clients as normal!
I will be traveling back and forth from Oklahoma a lot. Averie will also be taking more clients throughout this season. If you have booked partial or full planning and have been working with me, there will be some changes to meetings. Meetings will be primarily over Zoom and scheduled in advance when I am in town. For clients who have purchased wedding day management, nothing will change for you!
While this may sound scary that I will be planning from so far away, we have made some improvements that will benefit all of our clients during this time.
1. I will finally have childcare so business hours will be consistent. (Daycare here we come!)
2. We have opted into an online program for our clients to log into a portal for their wedding planning needs. This will keep you on track as you can see all the work Poppy Events is doing for you while editing and checking off items yourself. (Pending the package booked!)
3. We are looking into expanding our team. Once the right teammates are found, there will be an email sent out with updates on what that will look like.
I appreciate everyone cooperating with this change as it might sound a bit scary but very little will be changing! Because of this, I will be out of the office for the holidays and moving from December 23rd to January 6th! If you have an emergency, please reach out. Otherwise, all emails and meetings will be scheduled when I return.
