Rosie and Jason kicked off my 2022 wedding season when they tied the knot at the CityWay Gallery in downtown Indianapolis. With a fresh view of the snow covered ground, these two enjoyed an intimate cocktail reception with their closest friends and family before saying their vows. After the ceremony, everyone headed over to Taxman Brewing Company and enjoyed the evening with good food, drinks, and the best company. It was an evening of pure joy!

Rosie and Jason, it was an absolute pleasure to serve you on your wedding day! I hope you are enjoying a glass of bourbon tonight to celebrate 3 months of marriage!

McKenzie and Katie have been married for full week!

Talk about all the details! These two planned the most perfect fall wedding (although it felt more like summer) in Bloomington last Saturday surrounded by their family and friends. Together they designed their decor, created their wedding arch, created a unity ceremony in which all of their guests could participate, and wrote their own vows among many other details special to them.

McKenzie and Katie chose not to see each until the alter. One of my favorite moments of their wedding day was when they finally saw each other and McKenzie told Katie she was beautiful. Cue all the happy tears. 🥲

McKenzie and Katie, thank you for trusting me with all of the details of your wedding. I hope your first week of marriage has been blissful and wish you a lifetime of happiness together! ❤️❤️❤️

Introducing Mrs. and Mrs. Anderson!

Jaclyn and Katie will forever hold a special place in my heart as they were the very first couple to book me as their wedding coordinator! For 15 months we have worked together to plan all the details of their wedding day and yesterday my team and I had the privilege of turning their wedding dreams into reality at Indiana City Brewing Company.

Jaclyn and Katie were absolutely stunning brides. From their unity ceremony to their vows to each other to decor and party favors to their song list and food selection, their day was filled with so many sentimental touches and an outpour of love by their family and friends - it was an absolutely perfect day!

Jaclyn and Katie, thank you for putting your trust in me! ❤️❤️❤️ I wish you many happy married years together! 🍻

Amanda and Jessica are married!

From vowing to embrace their adventures with dogs and children, to speeches by their dearest friends that brought out tears of joy to almost everyone in the room, to the packed dance floor (including Jessica’s 98 year-old Grandma), Amanda and Jessica’s day was filled with the most unconditional love with their closest family and friends.

On my consultation call with Amanda and Jessica, Amanda quizzed me on my role as their wedding coordinator. While I don’t remember my answers to all of her questions, I do know I’m thankful I passed the quiz because I had the most fun in every aspect of my role to make their wedding weekend perfectly them!

Join me in wishing Amanda and Jessica many happy years together was wives! 🥂

I’m definitely not a florist, but love to work with fresh flowers any chance I get!

Introducing the second and final arch for the weekend. The groom handmade this arch special for the wedding. We softened it up with fresh greenery, roses, lambs ear, and baby’s breath to compliment the bouquets the bride and bridesmaids would later carry down the aisle.

Ever wonder what it’s like setting up for a wedding?

Sometimes it’s glamorous and other times it’s not, and sometimes it’s both in a matter of moments from each other—like when you’re drenched in sweat from setting up an arch in 90 degree temperatures and then you’re told it’s better than they envisioned within a matter of minutes of completing it.

Join me in congratulating Mr. & Mrs. Styck!

In the weeks and months leading up to their wedding, Bri and Cody worked to transform their property and a local nature preserve into the most perfect nature-themed wedding and reception venue. It was so fun to see their vision come to life on Saturday!

Their day included hay rides, lots of delicious food and deserts, a DJ, a late night band, and the ultimate grand entrance into their reception on Cody’s mud truck. The newlyweds and their guests partied the night (and early morning) away under the stars. Seriously, the dance floor was packed all night long!

Bri and Cody thank you for trusting us as your day-of wedding coordinator. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of your friends and family and helping bring your wedding vision to life. Cheers to many happy years as husband and wife! 🥂

Please join me in congratulating Mr. and Mrs. Johnston!

Todd and Belynda threw the ultimate pool party...I mean, wedding yesterday! That’s right, after saying I do, Belynda and Todd jumped in their pool with their closest family and friends for an afternoon in the sun.

Their day wouldn’t be complete without a custom wedding cake, cupcakes, and decor - all made my Belynda herself!

One of my favorite moments of the day was when Belynda’s grandsons saw her in her dress for the first time - “Grandma, you look beautiful!” - and that she did!

Belynda and Todd, thank you for allowing us to be part of your day. Cheers to many happy years as husband and wife!

As I sit here thinking about the week ahead I can’t help but think of the journey the last year has been so I wanted to give a few shout-outs:

To my friends and family, thank you for your support and guidance. I am forever grateful for you.

To my clients, thank you for putting your trust in me to manage all the details of the most important day of your life. I am so grateful for each and every one of you and look forward to serving you on your wedding day!

To the vendors, thank you for accepting me into this community, for your referrals, and for your guidance over the last year. It brings me so much joy to see how much passion you have for the work that you do. I learn from you each and every day.

To the team behind the scenes, thank you for countless hours to help grow this business from website design to picking out the perfect candles to client referrals and so much more - I truly couldn’t do this without you.

To my husband, thank you for being the person I can go to every day for guidance. And, the person I can call for backup with 45 minutes notice. 😅 You truly are my rock.

To my dog, Walker, thank you for protecting me from squirrels, leaves, cats and anything else that requires a loud bark in the middle of a Zoom call. The house is a safer place when you are on duty.

I truly appreciate each and everyone of you.

There’s so much happening in the next three months that I can’t wait to share with you. Up first are Belynda and Todd next weekend-you won’t want to miss the party they have planned!

For the next 28 days, I will be sponsoring and competing in Bop to the Top benefiting Riley Children's Foundation.

Traditionally, this is a 36-floor stair climb in the One America Building in downtown Indianapolis. This year the event has gone virtual and will take place throughout the month of February. This will be my 8th consecutive year competing and I could not be more excited to continue to support Riley Children’s Foundation and all the Riley kids and families!

In honor of the traditional stair climb, I am offering a $36 discount for any service booked between now and the end of March. These funds will be donated directly to Riley Children’s Foundation.

Wish me luck as I climb for Riley…530 steps in and (hopefully) several hundred to go! 🏃‍♀️

Last month, I had the opportunity to partner with Samantha Mitchell Photography to pull off a LGBTQ+ proposal. And let me say, it was so much fun!

Bryggs had proposed to Caitlin a while back, and together, they started planning their June 2021 wedding. They booked Sam to capture their wedding and engagement session. When it came time to start planning their engagement session, Caitlin decided she wanted to propose to Bryggs. Knowing this, Sam connected me with Caitlin to help pull off the perfect surprise.

After talking with Caitlin, we decided on a vintage picnic theme for the proposal setting, including one of Caitlin’s guitars and a classic crystal decanter. As an extra personal touch, Caitlin had the idea of incorporating some traditional nesting dolls knowing that Bryggs had spent some time traveling in Russia.

When the time came for Caitlin to propose, Bryggs opened the dolls to find a picture and a handwritten note from Caitlin with each successive doll. The final doll held the final surprise – the ring. Caitlin asked Bryggs to marry her and, without surprise, Bryggs said YES! This was such a special moment to witness!

Please join me in congratulating Caitlin and Bryggs on their recent engagement and wishing them the best on their upcoming wedding!

On Saturday, we had the privilege of serving Brittany, Jesse and 60 of their closest friends and family in an intimate, rustic wedding reception at The Gathering Place in Anderson.

Like many 2020 couples, Brittany and Jesse had to make adjustments to their original wedding plans due to COVID-19. In order to limit food exposure, we were able to transition the planned dinner buffet into a plated meal with extended table service for guests.

Please take a moment and help me congratulate the newlyweds, Brittany and Jesse! 🥂

On Friday, I had the honor of standing by my sister as she married the man of her dreams!

Ashley and Brian were supposed to be married in April with a small ceremony at the Indiana State House followed by a reception with their closest family and friends at a local restaurant. However, like many couples, they had to completely reschedule their wedding due to COVID-19.

With visitor restrictions still enforced at the State House, Ashley and Brian moved their ceremony to Holliday Park followed by an outdoor reception. It was a perfect day from start to finish!

Please join me in congratulating Ashley and Brian on their marriage! May you enjoy many years of happiness together as husband and wife!

Looking to get married, but don’t want the hype of a big wedding? Consider eloping!

Your vendors will work just as hard to make your wedding day magical for the two of you just as they would if you were throwing a party for 200.

This boho styled shoot proves just that. This had to be one of the hottest days of the year, yet these vendors went to work to create an intimate setting for two. Best part of it all – it was right here in Indiana. Yes, eloping in the Midwest is possible!

Thank you to the design team for trusting me with the table setting. It was fun to pull in some elements of nature, as well as a little elegance of crystal to create a place setting where the couple could enjoy their first married meal (and cake) together!

Hello!

My name is Andrea Peterson and I am a day-of event coordinator based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I have had a passion for planning parties since I was a kid. In college, I began working for a decorator where I developed a great appreciation for all manner of behind the scenes details and learned that no matter the event, the day-of to-do list is never ending.

Event planning is often stressful and at times can seem overwhelming, with over 10 years of experience, I can help you plan, coordinate, and execute the party of your dreams!

I would love to hear your party ideas! Contact me with any questions or to learn more about how I can help you and your guests create memories that will last a lifetime.
