✨Venue Spotlight - KABIN✨

Before we get too busy drinking mulled wine and eating mince pies, let’s take a moment to appreciate our gorgeous venue for The Narrative 😍

Formally Output Gallery, the brand new venue KABIN is part of & and we couldn’t be more thrilled to make it the home of The Narrative!

It can be accessed directly from Seel Street, or through the Kazimier Garden. There are seated and standing areas, including a raised seating area in the treehouse and even a cosy beanbag area underneath!

We’re delighted to announce that we will be partnering with Merseyside Arts Foundation!

Merseyside Arts Foundation have been supporting grass-roots bands and solo artists for 10 years and we are thrilled to be partnering with them to support selected artists performing at The Narrative.

So… about last night 😍

These three songwriters gave it their all. There’s something truly special about 3 people who’ve never met before performing next to each other on stage and bonding over their experiences and shared passion for music. The room was filled with songs, stories, emotion and laughter.

To everybody who attended - THANK YOU! You were the most attentive audience and natural born networkers. The Narrative is a hierarchy free zone and an opportunity for all local creatives to meet, collaborate and support each other, and last night truly represented everything that the event is about!

Our November showcase was INCREDIBLE and we can’t wait to do it all over again on the 5th of December 😍

The Narrative is an event for EVERYBODY! Creatives, people in the industry, and supporters of local music are all welcome 💞

There’s something special about performing in the round.

These 3 songwriters poured their heart into every song that they performed, and it was a wonderful experience hearing them tell their stories and talk about making the songs, as well as hearing them in an intimate, acoustic setting.

The Narrative is a space to celebrate creativity and to expand the network of everybody attending. The first event really captured the spirit of The Narrative, and we can’t wait for the next one on December 5th! Mark your calendars!🗓️

✨DECEMBER SHOWCASE ANNOUCEMENT✨

We’re incredibly excited to announce the wonderful line-up for Decembers showcase! The event will take place on December 5th, and feature ‘in the round’ style performances from St. Catherine's Child Nicola Hardman and Ellie Keegan 🔥

The evening will be filled with music, stories and networking. Everybody is welcome, so whether you’re a creative, you work in the industry, or you love music and want to support your local scene, make sure to add December 5th into your calendar and come along!

The Narrative is a monthly songwriter showcase and networking event held in Liverpool. Each event features 3 incredible songwriters telling the stories behind their songs and performing ‘in the round’. The Narrative is ran by creatives, for creatives, with a focus on the creative process and networking with other people in all sectors of the music industry. It’s for everybody to attend, whether you’re a creative yourself, you work in the industry, or you love music and want to support your local scene. The event is free to attend, and we operate on a ‘Pay What You Can’ basis, so to attend the event you just pay... well... what you can! £1, £5, £10, whatever you can afford is what it costs! All money collected is then split equally between all of the performers on the night.If you work in the creative industries (or aspire to), or if you want to support local creatives, then The Narrative is for you!
