👯♀️ Grab a friend and jump into your car—it’s time to head east for an afternoon art date. 🖼️
Located right in the heart of Bellevue’s downtown, the Bellevue Arts Museum regularly features local artists in a gorgeous building designed by an internationally renowned architect.
📖On display now: Preston Wadley’s new exhibition ABSTRACT TRUTH 👀
The show surveys Wadley’s career, featuring pieces from 2005 to 2022. The Seattle artist and professor emeritus at Cornish College of the Arts, creates books that appear as if he dredged them up from the ocean’s depths. Covered in rust or bronze (it’s oxidized metal patinas and paint), his technique gives each work an ancient-like feel.

If you’re flying in or out of Sea-Tac’s Terminal N you might be surprised to see a sculptural tree made from Alaskan yellow cedar towering 45 feet above you. The piece, called “Boundary” by John Grade cantilevers 26 feet out over the concourse. 🤯
The piece is part of the larger collection of art on display throughout the facilities at Sea-Tac!
