Join Mx Magic of QocinaX and Ivy Lotus of for an interactive healing experience.

We’ll be presenting at the International Ms Leather BootBlack .mslbb conference on Sunday, April 14th for our workshop:

Feelin Food n Herbs: Getting in Touch with Ingredients for Healing & Eroticism

🍓This workshop will introduce different aspects of food and herbal eroticism as tools for healing and pleasure for our mind, body and spirit.

🍓When we nurture our bodies with healthy ingredients and savor the moment we are decolonizing ourselves by slowing down and remembering our wholeness.

🍓Part of decolonizing s*x and food is centering joy in the little things in life that our capitalistic world takes us away from. We can do this by dedicating time for us to savor and connect to ourselves and our partners through food and herbs.

Follow .mslbb and to support their work and stay up to date on their latest events. See you at the conference ;).

It’s important to know your food and give recognition to those who cultivated and created those dishes. The majority of our foods as we know them today are derived from BIPOC cultures.

We do our best to find accurate sources and check who writes the information because it is necessary to recognize the true herstory and its origins of our ingredients and dishes.

We celebrate the contributions and knowledge of BIPOC folks for adding more depth, flavor and nutrition to our world.

Watermelon tuna steaks as a late night munchy snack mmmmmm. We made these with olive oils and vinegars they sent us to try and it was 🔥🔥🔥.

We marinated and basted the tuna watermelon steaks with a citrus honey 🍊🍯 garden butter sauce 🧈made using O Olive Oil- garlic olive oil 🧄🫒and their blood Orange olive oil 🍊🫒 (that just sounds s*xiii 🥹🤣🤣) butta, fresh squeezed Orange and lemon juice🍊🍋, garden herbs (thyme n basil 🌿), O olive Oil honey apple 🍯🍎vinegar, spicy honey and spices. Topped with a honey apple vinegar salsa and feta cheese.

We love how O Olive Oil included a recipe booklet along with a chart on how to pair their different products with diff ingredients and flavors too. Super helpful for folks who want ideas on how to combine the different oils and vinegars fo sho. You can def taste the quality in the olives and ingredients they use which is really important.

We checked out their sustainability handbook and shared some screenshots from achievements and goals they’re setting to improve in implementing greater sustainability practices for food, earth and people. Would def love to learn more about the farm workers as well. When we think of farms we often don’t get to see the people who help throughout the entire process. If it wasn’t for our farm workers we wouldn’t have the food we have so it’d be cool to see O Olive Oil match their wholesome products with the incredible people who help harvest and make these goodies come to life 🤩🌱🫒🌈.

So proud of these students for all they accomplished in the short time we had together. But this is only the beginning! will be bringing yet another season of programming this summer and we are beyond thrilled to be collabing with them to continue the planning, development and growth of this permaculture food forest garden with the folks of Barringer and the greater community of Newark. The spiral circle garden represents the never-ending determination to keep going and keep growing. It represents the continuous resilience of our community and the love and drive folks have to make their city a greener and better place for all. Hope these pics bring a smile on y’all’s face the same way it did ours. Peace and Happy Pride! 🌈🌱🌱🌱🌈

Shoutouts to our q***r fam for pride!
First up, here he is! The one and only Travers- “founder and CEO of Q***rency, a digital media company that brings a q***r voice to business news for LGBTQ entrepreneurs, business leaders, and allies.”

Travers and I met on Instagram when the covid pandemic and shutdown first hit. We were just starting our own creative passion projects, Travers with Q***rency and myself with QCK. Throughout the past two years now since connecting, Travers has checked in, cheered us on and supported us in so many ways. His consistency and dedication to amplifying the voices of marginalized groups is uplifting and sooo dang beautiful we just can’t take it!

Travers’ goal is to continue growing Q***rency to keep spreading awareness and representation of QBIPOC and q***r humans work, achievements and ‘their’ story cuz it sure as hell ain’t ‘history’!

Keep spreading joy, truth and pride through your videos and news media. We are here for it all day everyday! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️📰🗞🗞🥳🥳We can’t wait for the chance to collaborate with you and watching Q***rency continue to grow and spread q***r wholesome brilliantness!

Travers you know we are def throwin down in the kitchen for you when we meet in person Travers! Let us know your fave foods ***rncy haha.

Happy Pride to y’all QCK fam! We love and our proud of you all day everyday, not just this month but every month-24/7-365-you already know!!

Hey y’all! What is everyone growin this spring season? What do you have planted now to grow for the summer?

Over in Newark, NJ’s North Ward we have been collabing on the design, building and creation of Barringer HS’s permaculture garden & food forest.

STEAM URBAN , permaculture farmer Mancoba Hlatshwako, garden club advisor/educator Alex Schuetz, Swag Project, and so many of Steam’s community partners, students of Barringer and locals have been coming together as a community to help this project come to life!

These are all folks working day in and day out towards creating climate resiliency, food security, and healthy green spaces for the community of Newark, NJ. Oh and the students of Barringer who are leading this project?! They’re incredible. They have been patient through the pandemic, diligent and dedicated to helping to transform this unused piece of land on their school grounds into an urban edible oasis that is a safe space for any and all that enter.

Here are some of the goodies of what we have been planning and starting so far. I am beyond ecstatic to invite y’all to follow us on our journey of regenerating and transforming this space.

We wanna see what y’all are doing with your yards and green spaces too! Feel free to share what’s goodie here. 😁🥳🌱
Happy growing!
