The Stoop Test Kitchen: Pan-seared King Trumpet Mushroom and Kimchi topped with green scallions.

I wanted to start working on some vegetarian dishes. I scored and pan-seared king trumpet mushrooms and basted them in miso butter. Paired with acidic funkiness of kimchi to cut thru richness of the miso butter. Finished with thinly sliced scallions. Great starting point!

Thanksgiving take on Chicken n Waffles...smoked duck and stuffing waffles drizzled with gravy and bourbon maple syrup. Smoked duck basted in orange juice, hot honey, and maple syrup. My dad's stuffing turned into waffles, garlic mash potatoes, broccoli, and sweet corn. Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours!

Day to trip to Santa Barbara yesterday, hung out at the Funk Zone and had amazing food, and enjoyed a beautiful walk around town. Super tasty wood fire oven pizza and had amazing tapas at a Michelin star restaurant . Fantastic food and wonderful service. I'm definitely going back for another day trip soon!

Today, I sent my little back into the universe. It was the hardest decision I have ever made in my life. I had a week to mentally prepare and say my goodbyes multiple times, balling my eyes out each time I held you. You were always by my side...thank you my little man. Words can not explain how much I miss you. But I promised I would be with you until the end, and I held you until you took your last breath. I love you Charles Bartowsky Dintemann. You have a lot of family waiting to greet you. Until we meet again my baby....

Today is my last day , which is bittersweet for me. I'm excited about returning to the world of interior design as the design director for , but I will miss The Abbey family. Two patrons took this photo of me and gave it to me as a gift. That says so much about not only the patrons but also the staff at The Abbey. I have never experienced a place quite like here, it's special. So I wanted to say thank you for a wonderful two years, and I look forward to becoming a "regular" there soon. See you on the other side of the bar...love you guys!
