Bring a pound to the ground!
Uniting to face cancer is important: one in two of us will develop cancer – it will affect every one of us, directly or indirectly, at some point. That’s why we're teaming up with Sheffield United ahead of the match against Norwich on Saturday.
Fans attending the match, this Saturday, are being urged to bring a small donation of just £1 to support local cancer patients.
Ahead of the game, Sheffield United Manager, Chris Wilder, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Weston Park Cancer Charity to takeover Bramall Lane and spread the word about the incredible work they do for cancer patients across our region.
“Weston Park’s dedicated army of volunteers will be turning our turnstiles purple prior to kick off and we want you to put in your pounds and help us make a real difference to thousands of patients and their families facing cancer.”
Volunteers will be stationed around the perimeter of the stadium before the game – including at every turnstile block – in the hope of receiving your donations, which would raise a game-changing five figure sum if every supporter is able to donate just £1.
