While Covid has messed with all of our wedding plans this spring, summer and most probably fall and winter… Kylie & Mark’s love for each other surely was not postponed. This lovely couple certainly did not let the pandemic prevent them from officially becoming Mr. & Mrs. two weeks ago! Even though their wedding reception is postponed, they still “SAID YES” in front of their immediate family members with honoured guests attending through live-stream.

ONCE UPON A TIME....

A BRIGHT EYED GIRL LEFT HER SMALL TOWN IN THE MARITIMES AT THE TENDER AGE OF 20 HEADED WEST… SEVEN HOURS TO MONTREAL. LITTLE WONDER SHE WAS DRAWN TO SUCH A MAGNETIC PLACE. IT WAS SO DIFFERENT FROM WHERE SHE STARTED. THERE WAS SO MUCH MAGIC THERE. THE LIGHTS, THE FAST PACE. BEING A BIG DREAMER..... SHE ALWAYS WANTING MORE. TO LIVE IN THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE. TO WANDER THE STREETS, SMELL THE SCENTS AND HEAR THE SOUNDS. THE MOMENT SHE STEPPED FOOT IN HER NEW HOME, SHE WAS LOST IN HER OWN FAIRYTALE. FEELING A SENSE OF BELONGING.

SOMETHING NEW WAS EMERGING INSIDE OF HER. TO BE UNDERSTOOD THOUGH WOULD TAKE TIME. THE CITY EXPOSED WHAT WAS REALLY INSIDE... A BIGGER 'HER' THAT DREW PEOPLE. THAT MADE PEOPLE COMFORTABLE. MADE THEM LAUGH. HOW WOULD THIS NEW DISCOVERY UNFOLD? EACH JOB SHE TOOK LEFT HER WANTING MORE. SHE NEEDED AN OUTLET. SO ONE YEAR HER HUSBAND BOUGHT HER A CAMERA. THE SEED HAD BEEN PLANTED.

A MUSE WAS CREATED. A SPARK FROM WITHIN THAT WANTED TO SHOW SOMETHING. SHOW A STORY. NOT HER OWN … BUT EVERYONE ELSE’S. SHE LEARNED THAT WHAT SHE WAS LONGING FOR INTERNALLY, SHE COULD ACTUALLY GIVE TO OTHERS. THEIR OWN BEAUTIFUL STORY. AND SO IT BEGAN.

WITH THE MACHINE IN HAND AND THE CONFIDENCE GROWING INSIDE... SHE BEGAN TO TELL STORIES. STORIES OF NEW LOVE. OF NEW LIFE. OF FINDING BEAUTY AND COURAGE. GIVING THE GIFT OF JOY TO THOSE WHOM SHE CAPTURED WAS UNLIKE ANY OTHER FEELING. IN ALL OF THIS GREW A PATH SHE COULDN’T TURN AWAY FROM. IT LURED HER IN LIKE A DRUG. A PATH OF CONTINUAL GROWTH AND SATISFACTION.

THRIVING OFF THE ENERGY, EXCITEMENT AND ANTICIPATION, EVERY WEDDING SHE DOCUMENTED FELT LIKE THAT FIRST DAY IN THE CITY AGAIN. A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE. THE MAGIC NEVER LEFT. SHE LEARNED WHAT REAL PASSION IS. IT WASN’T JUST ABOUT PLEASING ONESELF. BUT RATHER, FINDING FULFILLMENT IN GIVING BACK TO OTHERS IN A TANGIBLE WAY.

⁣We wanted to share some advices that we’ve been giving to our late summer, fall and winter 2020 couples that are like all of us stressing out about the new normal and about coronavirus! ⠀
⠀
Here’s the question that we’ve gotten a lot lately... “should I keep my 2020 date or postpone to 2021?”⠀
⠀
The first piece of advice that we give is to contact your wedding planner and/or venue! Ask them for all the facts. Steps they are taking right now for brides that have already move their weddings to 2021. This way you know what to expect, if you do choose to move your wedding date. ⠀
⠀
Secondly, our biggest piece of advice, you need to sit down with your fiancé and start the conversation. We recommend talking about what your dream wedding day looks like. There are so many different options, but really deep into what aspects of the wedding day mean the most to you. Once you have made a list and have come up with a decision, think about what steps you need to do to make that happen. And then reach out to your vendors for assistance. ⠀
