We've moved in - and have registered as a food business with the local council, which means Food Hygiene inspection impending.
Whilst we wait, I thought I'd tell you a little more about myself, and Date Night Dining.
A military wife and now on our 5th posting in 5 years, extended family has almost never been close enough for childcare. With my other half often being away, date nights have always been important to us as a couple - although getting out to one was difficult having two young children.
And so, in lockdown, I decided I wanted to work on a business model that was a little more approachable to working parents than a high-end private chef.
- And Date Nights don't always have to be a romantic setting. I've gone on to cater a wide spectrum of private events. Hen do's, friendly get togethers, kid's birthdays! Everything about the business is entirely customisable for you.
(Unfortunately, it looks like my old business page has been deleted, therefore losing all of my old reviews and pictures!)
If you're interested - my catering journey began when I was 13 and began working as a pot wash in a busy restaurant. I then went on to get my formal training at River Cottage Chef's school. Pictured is myself (when I was 18, mind you!) with Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, doing a demo for HRH Princess Anne. I then went on to work in busy harbourside restaurants, working with the best of the local fresh produce.
Hopefully, all going well with EHO, we will be taking bookings from April.
